Today is all about Ultrasound in Aesthetics in Paris 🇫🇷 learning lots!

Ultrasound in Aesthetics = better appreciation of facial anatomy = safer medicine = safer aesthetics.

I have recently brought ultrasound into my practice - particularly useful before filler in higher-risk areas to further increase safety, but also to enable more accurate, more precise, more tailored results.

Patients safety is is at the core of my practice, and hopefully one day ultrasound will be the standard in the aesthetic medicine industry 💉💉

PROFHILO - I love it! Profhilo is a collagen and elastin stimulating injectable treatment. It can be used on face, neck and even the body for example tummys, arms and knees. It’s great for rejuvenating skin elasticity that naturally decreases over time, to help make you feel fresher, and reduce the appearance of fine lines that happen as we age. It’s best done as a course of two treatments a month or so apart, and it lasts a year or so. It can be a little bit stingy with the needle but just for a second or two, but trust me, I feel it’s worth it. Ladies. Menopause brings change - not just in our lives but in our skin too. It's a faff, but I'm afraid ladies, if we live long enough we are going to go through it.

Our natural levels of collagen decrease over time - we lose 1-2% of our collagen every year after 25. And then when we hit menopuase I'm afraid the drop in oestrogen increases rate of collagen loss further, making skin thinner, less taught, and prone to more lines.

However I'm pleased to report that there are plenty of things that can be done to help combat the aesthetic impacts of decreased collagen, if it's something thats bothering you.
