A Direct Cremation with large remote companies that spend £1000's on advertising does not mean quality or respect, a direct unattended cremation cost £1395.00, this includes collection of the person (which is often delayed causing problems for our hospitals) in vans which hold 4-8 people at a time, it is also often up to the family to ask a local funeral director to collect the person if they were to die at home at an additional cost to them, storage at one of their commercial depots (their latest facility holds 500 people) and cremation when it suits them. A Direct unattended cremation with us also costs £1395.00, we will collect the person ourselves, they stay with us in Marlborough until the cremation (which families know when and where is happening), a fully lined coffin with the option to visit the person in our chapel, transport in our Mercedes hearsette to either Kingsdown or North Wiltshire Crematorium and collecting the persons ashes for their family. All this carried out with care and respect, locally by people you can talk to.
