This afternoon we are delighted to be marking Admin Appreciation Day with a special afternoon tea for our wonderful administration team — Rebecca, Alice, Danielle, Tracey, Margaret and Karen.

Thank you for your hard work, dedication and the countless things you do every single day to support our home, residents and colleagues. We truly couldn’t do it without you! ☕🍰

We had a lovely visit to Marlborough Golf Club this morning!

We enjoyed a hot drink in the clubhouse while taking in the wonderful views across the course. A peaceful way to start the day and a real treat for everyone ⛳️☕️

Our talented chefs came 2nd place in the Porthaven Care Homes Marie Curie UK Challenge, proudly sponsored by Corefield Procurement.

The challenge? To create a Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal showstopper for our fundraising day - and our team truly rose to it! They chose to create a large daffodil cake, which was entirely homemade and completely edible.

A huge well done to the team for their creativity, hard work, and for supporting such an important cause. We couldn’t be prouder! 💛🍰

We’ve been celebrating a few birthdays recently, and once again our amazing kitchen team have gone above and beyond. From beautiful designs to delicious flavours, they always put so much care into making every celebration special. 💛🎂✨

We’ve spent the week hatching chicks and following their journey from the very beginning – and it’s been truly special to watch. We have loved nurturing the chicks, learning about how they grow, and seeing them hatch right before our eyes.

From gentle check‑ins to lots of smiles and excitement, the experience has sparked curiosity and conversations. It’s been heartwarming to see everyone so engaged and caring as they supported the chicks every step of the way.💛🐥

Today is World Parkinson's Day, which is marked annually on the birthday of James Parkinson, the first person to recognise Parkinson's as a medical condition.

On this day, Parkinson's UK hopes to educate the public on the challenges individuals living with Parkinson's and their loved ones face, as well as encourage people to fundraise for Parkinson's research and support services.
