Courtney, our amazing Deputy Manager, is taking on the Lisbon Half Marathon in just 19 days’ time! 🏃‍♀️🇵🇹

She’s lacing up her trainers to raise money for our Residents’ Amenity Fund. With your kind donations, our residents are hoping to purchase an interactive table – something that would bring so much fun, stimulation and meaningful activity to daily life in our home. 💙

This equipment would make such a difference, helping with games, reminiscence sessions, quizzes, music, and interactive activities that everyone can enjoy together.

Our amazing Deputy Manager Courtney, is running the Lisbon half marathon on Sunday 8th March 2026!

As if one is not enough, Courtney is also running the Valencia Half marathon on Sunday 15th October 2026!

On Thursday we had an early Burns Celebration at Coombe End. Patrick, from Marlborough College came along with his bagpipes and paraded around the home with the haggis, finishing in the dining room where Alison,our Chaplain, addressed the haggis with the words of Burns, and the Selkirk Grace. The residents then enjoyed their traditional Scottish meal of haggis, followed by cranachan.

Many thanks to Lorraine for cooking the haggis and making it look beautiful, to Heather for carrying it ceremonially around the Home, and also thanks, of course, to Patrick for his superb piping! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
