A sincere thanks to Howard Hastings, the Active Communities and Sports Inclusion Manager at Bisham Abbey, for hosting the Chatty Café on behalf of Age UK Berkshire at Bisham Abbey in Marlow last month.
It was a great opportunity for some of our residents to step out of our home and enjoy an opportunity to meet some news friends, coffee and cake of course but added to this take in some of the history of this beautiful Abbey which was once the home to Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. We look forward to our next visit and are excited to see how this new venture, The Chatty Café grows.

With lots of laughter and chatter, they arrange fresh blooms into small vases that brighten up our restaurant and café tables. The odd one even finds its way into a lady’s hair for that extra touch of charm! 💐✨

☀️ We had a wonderful time at the Little Marlow Village Fete this weekend!
It was a day full of sunshine, fun and community spirit, from watching the fantastic dog show 🐾, to cheering on the tug of war 💪, and most importantly, meeting so many lovely local people.

🌈✨ Last week we celebrated Wizard of Oz Day! ✨🌈

On 18th August, we mark the premiere of the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, celebrating its iconic characters, unforgettable songs, and timeless story.

We had a magical party on Friday with themed cupcakes and staff in full costume for a fun competition.
And the winners were…
🏆 1st place: Toni as the Good Witch
🥈 2nd place: Xenia as the Tin Man
🥉 3rd place: Sarah as the Wicked Witch of the West
