Qigong is traditionally practised in three styles, martial, medical and spiritual:-

☯️Martial Qigong - Designed to increase physical strength, stamina, and power for martial arts, often referred to as "active Qigong". It utilizes deep, stable postures and focuses on building internal strength.

The two we focus on with are:

☯️ Medical Qigong - in line with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), used in hospitals, Focused on self-healing, preventing disease, and promoting longevity. It involves gentle movements, breathing, and sometimes massage to improve circulation, relieve stress, and enhance the immune system.

☯️ Spiritual Qigong - Focused on meditation, mindfulness, and spiritual growth. It is not religious, but an exploration of reality, mind, life, etc. Including Neigong and Neidan Taoist inner alchemy practises. Traditionally Taoist and later Buddhist. It is going past conditioning and limited belief systems and a separate self to develop awareness and see more clearly, with wisdom practises.

All three deliver incredible health benefits through regulating breathing, entering the parasympathetic nervous system, building proprioception through slow mindful movement, calming the mind, settling emotions, building flexibility through movement and stretching. Plus the benefits of being in nature in a wonderful community 🫂

Joy is the practice

"The most important aspect of Qigong practice is to enjoy yourself. Keep this in mind as you practice. Smile at yourself, at your second brain in your Dan Tien, and at the parts of the body you are moving"

- Mantak Chia

A practice inspired by this quote

Try this the next time you practice...or anytime during your day.

Lift your eyebrows gently. Get that soft look of pleasant surprise on your face. Now try to feel tense or stressed. It's harder than you'd expect.

Stay there for a breath or two. Let the feeling spread downward into your chest, your belly, your Dan Tien just below the navel. You're smiling at your center. You're saying hello to yourself.

That's the inner smile practice in its simplest form. You don't need a mat or a special time of day. You just need a moment and a willingness to feel good.

Try it a few times this week and see what you notice.

🌕 Full Blood Moon – A Night of Release & Renewal 🌚

Tonight we welcome the powerful Full Blood Moon — a lunar phase traditionally linked with transformation, endings, and emotional clarity.

A “blood moon” happens during a total lunar eclipse, when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow that gives the Moon its deep copper-red glow.

Full moons illuminate what’s been hidden. A blood moon amplifies that illumination — bringing truth, insight, and sometimes intensity. If you’re feeling more emotional, restless, or reflective… you’re not alone.

A simple ritual for tonight:
🌗 Write down what you’re ready to release.
🌗 Take a few slow breaths under the moonlight (or by a window).
🌗 Tear the paper and safely discard it — symbolising surrender.
🌗 Set one clear intention moving forward.

For me, the full moon is always a reminder that even in darkness, there is beauty… and even endings carry the seed of something new. 🌑🌕

Are you feeling this moon’s energy? 🌙✨

🪐🌌⭐️ This evening Experience one of the best multi-planet views we’ll get this decade from the UK 🌌🪐⭐️

On Friday 28 February 2026, a rare six-planet alignment (often called a planetary parade) will be visible in the evening sky from the UK 🌌🪐

The planets involved are Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune — stretching across the sky along the sun’s path (the ecliptic).

The best time to observe is about 30–60 minutes after local sunset looking toward the west/southwest sky.

Several of the planets (Venus, Jupiter, Saturn) will be bright enough to see with the naked eye. Uranus and Neptune will likely need binoculars or a small telescope.

It’s called a “planetary parade” — not a perfect straight line in space, but a rare moment where six planets appear grouped along the same part of the sky.
