Message from Colm Farrell (Haz) Founder, Stamp Out Su***de
As the year draws to a close, I would like to personally thank the entire Wild Swan community for the extraordinary support you have given to Stamp Out Su***de (SOS) throughout 2025. Your commitment, generosity, and compassion genuinely save lives.
I want to place particular emphasis on the contribution of Wild Swan Mark Mark Heath, founder of Wild Swan Flowing River Qigong, who has been a volunteer Principal Psychotherapist with Stamp Out Su***de for the past ten years. Over that decade, Mark has given countless hours of his time, expertise, and emotional energy—entirely freely—to support individuals living with suicidal thoughts. Quite simply, many people are alive today because of his work.
Beyond SOS, Mark’s wider impact through the Wild Swan community cannot be overstated.
What has grown into a thriving group of over 250 people—often with more than 50 attending
sessions together—has become a powerful space for connection, healing, and prevention.
Having attended park sessions myself, I have seen first-hand the sense of safety, belonging, and openness that Mark has helped cultivate. This community has not only raised vital funds for SOS but, just as importantly, has raised awareness and reduced stigma around mental health and su***de.
During 2025, we were proud to deliver three QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) su***de
prevention training sessions locally at Danesfield School, Court Garden Leisure Complex and the Coffee and Coach Café. These sessions were very well attended, with feedback consistently highlighting how much more confident and capable people felt in supporting someone who may be at risk.
We look forward to delivering further training sessions in early 2026.
We are also deeply grateful for the many fundraising events held throughout the year, including the Medmenham Concert (thank you Jo), the Santa Fun Run (thank you Giles Ayling and Elizabeth Everett), the Sound Bath at Flow Marlow (thank you Davinder and Dean), and the Gong–Qigong collaboration (thank you Phoebe Winter Sound and her sister Claire). Each of these events played a vital role in helping us continue our life-saving work.
As we look ahead to 2026, I want to sincerely thank every individual involved in the Wild Swan community for standing with us. Together, we are making a real difference—and together, we will continue to save lives.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Haz

From Mark Heath:-
Thank you so much Haz for your kind words. It is the incredible work you do with SOS that, as you know, was the inspiration to start up Wild Swan initially, to help people locally freely around Marlow.
Having talked through suicidal ideation with dozens and dozens of people have Counselled both with SOS and at other times, over the last 10 years, felt there was a need to provide a moving practise that helped change lifestyles, in addition to, and to supplement talking therapy.
I am so pleased at how our wonderful community has grown, far beyond any expectations possibly could have had. The lovely feedback continually receive of how it has helped people and is changing lives is so heart warming, only the hardest of hearts could fail to be touched!
We now have amazing guest Teachers, Ian Souch, and Azure Tai Chi (Simon Jennings), and Wild Swan fully qualified Teachers too coming through, Teresa Grimsditch Frequency Shift and Mike well on the way, and much interest from other members of our community – Holden Qigong support us fully, offering a substantial discount if interested to train!
We would love to see it spread into other towns, much like the amazing Park Run. It is so wonderful to have grown in 18 months from just myself and a few of our group in the park, to a whole team supporting Wild Swan in every way (whatsapp groups, multimedia, events, merch, halls, weekends away, trips, events, socials, etc, etc).
As much as personally will fully continue to be involved with Wild Swan, am truly pleased it is entirely now about our whole community and not one person, and a completely flat structure, which is entirely sustainable without the need for any one individual. Please be assured Wild Swan will always remain a community project, taking no money (other than voluntary donations for hall hire when required), with no hidden agendas or motives, just a sincere wish to benefit anyone who wishes to join in.
All local teachers of Qigong please do get in touch if wish to join in offering free sessions, or if just want us to add you to our links page on website - as how people get mindfully moving, where, or with whom is immaterial; as long as they do! Also, fellow qualified Psychotherapists please do get in touch with Stamp Out Su***de (SOS) too if can offer some time freely, or anyone wishing to help fundraise for SOS.
Once again thank you Haz, am full of gratitude to be involved saving lives! In fact, at the age of 45, when was misdiagnosed with terminal cancer, given 3-5 years to live, whilst getting my affairs in order pre-surgery, the main thought had was ‘am so glad spent the last few years volunteering as a Psychotherapist with Stamp Out Su***de’. Fortunately had another chance to continue, and hopefully help people, both with SOS and here also. I feel extremely privileged to be able to do so. Thank you!
Thank you to our community. Here’s to the next 10 years! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Peace Love and Wild Swan Qigong!
Mark
