“Spring brings spurts of excitement and deep restlessness. We sway from one mood to its opposite. We stumble as if hitting against invisible barriers that try to curb its overwhelming nature.”

Sandra Sabatini

Spring doesn’t arrive all at once.
It stirs. It swirls. It hesitates. 🌀

We’re in that beautiful bridging point between winter and spring - when the light is changing, the energy is shifting, and something new is quietly finding its way through. 🌱

New children play upon the green -
New weary sleep below -
And still the pensive Spring returns -
And still the punctual snow.

Emily Dickinson; 2nd verse Snowdrops in Spring

Imbolc; a beautiful threshold moment in the Celtic calendar. Imbolc loosely means “in the belly” - a time when life is still hidden, but quietly gathering energy beneath the surface.

The earth is not in full bloom yet, but something is definitely stirring.

This is the season of the snowdrop - brave, delicate, and quietly powerful.

Pushing through frozen ground, it reminds us that even in the depths of winter, hope is already on its way.

Imbolc invites us to notice what’s beginning to awaken inside us too - ideas, longings, creativity, gentleness.

Now we are 6 weeks from the Spring Equinox - light, warmth and new possibilities are on the horizon. ☀️

You might like to light a candle, wrap up warm, and let this be your quiet ritual for welcoming the first light of Spring.

“There is quiet potential in this time: it’s opportunity and whispered promise, our powerlessness in the face of nature. There is hope in it all - the regenerative power of the new year.”

Join me in classes or at a workshop or retreat and together we will uncover this quiet potential.
