Stirrings of Spring ○ happy Imbolc, Saint Brigid's Day blessings 🕯and honouring Brigantia, Goddess of Northern Britain 🔥 with the Full Moon tonight too 🌕✨️

Time of light, healing, and transformation. It is said that on the evening of 31st January, Brigid passes by, warming the Earth, and where her feet have touched the ground, wildflowers appear.

Cloth or fabric can be left outside for Brigid to bless when she passes. Known as Brat-Bhríde, this cloth can serve as a talisman of healing, protection, and creativity, for the rest of the year 🌱

May your inner light grow brighter with the lighter days ahead 🌕 🙏🕯###

Brigantia ● Celtic Goddess of Northern England ● honoured as wise and powerful, protector of the land, by the Brigantes tribe.

I've been quiet this past month. Overwhelmed by all I've learnt over the last few years. No matter how much I try, my (very) menopausal mind can't hold all the names of the trees, the birds, the intricacies of rituals, the right words at the right time. Sometimes I can no longer think, only feel. Bringing me out of my head, and rooted into my body.

I'm not an artist (as you can see!), but I find sketching out my journeying helps me to feel back into the energy of them.

This is how I connected with Brigantia in a Shamanic journey recently, walking across sea with waves of flame, to an abundantly green island where she appeared from a beautiful spreading oak, noble, gentle, warrior, with a branch staff, rather than a spear, holding and protecting the Earth.

Perhaps, as we honour Imbolc at our coming Circle, and the Earth begins to stir, we may also be blessed to connect with the spirit of Brigantia 🌳💚🌿🌍

I hope that these first stirrings of Spring find you well, and may help to begin the sowing of new seeds of intention, ready for the awakening of Ostara Spring Equinox 🌱 Gift yourself patience, there is no rush if the words don't come straightaway. Sending so much love, Kay ###

Anyone else feeling this final energy of the Snake, this final pull to cleanse, shed, embrace perhaps a mindful, gentle, transformation 💚 before we welcome the dynamic energy of the Fire Horse?

The snake is an ancient symbol of women and healing. If a snake comes up for you in a dream or a Shamanic journey it can feel very powerful, and very caring, it may wish to take you somewhere, to intuitively trust it (recently, during a Shamanic journey, a snake took me to meet my Medicine Woman; her hut, filled with plant medicine, fires, and tincture...an incredible place to be!)

Light hits differently in January ● Soft, still, a pause before the stirrings of Spring.

As we turn towards Imbolc, St Brigid's Day, the air may be cold, but the Earth is beginning to warm, as we gather again.

We have three gatherings of Soul Vision Board and Soundhealing in Marple this Spring, which I honestly can't wait for. Visualisation is a powerful tool!

There's no rush ○ January gifts us time to process, and if we feel called to, plan. Spring, for me, gently begins at Imbolc, St Brigid's Day 🕯 a time of fresh energy, and welcoming the sun. With our beginning the cycle at Ostara, the Spring Equinox.

I can't wait to welcome everyone back to the little calming space at this time 🌱 Our Imbolc Shamanic Circle, where we'll be connecting with the awakening energies, on Tuesday 3rd February is currently fully booked, though if you would like to join the wait list, or future Circles, please do reach out 💚🪶

As we flow into 2026 ○ whether you honour start of the calendar year as the beginning of your personal year, or perhaps you feel more aligned to Spring for the start of the cycle of the seasons (personally, Imbolc, at the start of February, feels the right time for me to stretch and awaken to the year), I wish you all of the love, and everything you wish for yourself 🤍

A gentle reminder that we're still within the embrace of Winter, so go kind and gentle with yourself. Keep the candles lit, and your inner light burning bright. Work with this time of lingering dark to go deeper with what you would like to bring into your life. Remember, words are spells and hold potent magic ✨️🕯

I can't wait to join together as we honour the return of the sun at Imbolc, with new gatherings being shared this week 🌳🪶🕯 Sending so much love 🌿🦌🩷 ###

Finding your flow ○ following your intuition; the energies of your instinct. Allow yourself to be held by the magical energy of this in-between time ✨️🌲 softly integrating the light of the Solstice.

There's no rush to begin the new (unless you feel called to!). As we approach January we are still within the hold of Winter; the comfort of candles, nourishing intentions, and snuggly warm blankets.

We lit the candles, and had a little go at making hanging decorations with river pottery and sea glass, collected throughout the year. Small activities sometimes hold the biggest magic 🕯💚🐚

Nestled ● Rooted ● Connected ● through December we allowed ourselves to be held by our Wise Woman within, to come together with the song of our soul, to hear the guidance of the spirit of the season, to receive those first seeds of light we might nurture over the Solstice, ready to be planted as the light returns at Imbolc.

However you celebrate, and honour, this time of nurturing darkness; perhaps with candles and twinkling lights to illuminate your way, with folk tales, with walks in scented woodlands, with dreamy moongazing, and good books by the fire, I thank you for being here, and for your beautiful spirit.

I hope our paths cross soon with the coming of the Spring 🕯🌱🦌🩷

Wise Woman ● Medicine Woman ● Witch ● Goddess ● Crone ● the label isn't important, or what we wear, or how we do our hair, but our connection to each other, to the energies of the Universe above us, the ancient Earth below us, the wisdom we carry in our bones, the intuition into which we trust 💜

Last week we gathered for the first of our Wise Women Ceremonies, where we softened and opened our hearts with Mama Cacao, journeying and honouring the Full Moon, and the Fire. Where we cleansed and burned away all that was no longer ours to carry, as we flow towards the Solstice 🌕🕯❄️

Sacred Elements 🌀 connecting, honouring, and journeying with each of the elements, as we flowed through November.

Beginning with Earth, the foundational element, grounding, providing us with feelings of solidity, strength, comfort, and support.

Air Element brought us Storm Claudia, as she held us within her uplifting, vital, life-giving energy.

The sun shone down on us for Fire, full of illumination, creativity, and light.

As we began our Water Element gathering, cleansing rain fell against the windows, bringing flow.

Strengthening our connection to the nature we are, the wise women, the medicine women, the daughters of Mother Earth 🌎

I embrace the cycle of change that is happening around me 🌀

As we live within the cycles of the seasons, the Wheel of the Year, we are entering a time of nourishment, nurture, rest, and reflection.

However, the festive season can bring rush, and overwhelm, and this darkest part of the year can be tricky for some 🤍

I've created an Advent of Affirmations, which I'll post each day in Stories, to help us navigate this time together, and I hope that they may bring a little peace and harmony to this most magical of seasons 🩶
