✨ A different way to celebrate Valentine’s… or Galentine’s ✨

This February, we’re inviting you to slow things down and connect in a way that feels meaningful, grounded, and genuinely nurturing.

Our Couples Massage Workshop is a relaxed, hands-on experience for couples or friends who want to learn simple, effective massage techniques they can use at home, no experience needed.

Guided by Shelley, our in-house massage therapist, you’ll take turns learning how to release tension through the back, neck and shoulders, while building confidence in touch, communication, and care.

This isn’t about perfection or performance.
It’s about presence.
Connection.
And doing something a little different together.

Most people think Yin and Restorative yoga are the same because they look similar from the outside. But inside the body, they are doing completely different things.

Yin: A meditative yet challenging practice, drawing from traditional Chinese medicine to assist moving energy through the body. Yin engages stillness & targets joints, fascia & ligaments through hold time. Deep breathing encourages sitting with sensation. Deep stretching improves flexibility and energy flow. Props such as bolsters, blocks & straps are used to modify & partially for support but are not essential for the practice.

Restorative: A deeply soothing practice that requires props to fully support the body, completely removing effort & inviting deep rest and release. Comfort is essential. Soft natural breathing and guided relaxation helps to bring the body into balance, promoting stress relief and targeting the nervous system.

Yin asks you to meet your edge.
Restorative asks you to let go.

Yin gently challenges the body.
Restorative deeply soothes the body.

Yin works into the tissues.
Restorative works into the nervous system.

Yin is about feeling.
Restorative is about releasing.

Yin is subtle intensity.
Restorative is complete ease.

Yin is supported stretch.
Restorative is supported rest.

We’re still in the quiet part of the year. 🤫
The part where nature rests, gathers energy, and doesn’t rush the next chapter.

At Sass, we move with the seasons - not against them.

Some endings are really just new beginnings. ✨

The final 48 hours of GIno - at Sass…🫶🏻

If you’ve ever been greeted with his smile, served your flat white with extra love, or witnessed the very real behind-the-scenes chaos of hospitality… you’ll know he’s been a huge part of this place.

We’re proud of him for stepping into an exciting new chapter (and yes… I’m pretending I’m fine about it 😂).

It also means I’m officially taking the full reins from here - which feels equal parts empowering and slightly terrifying… but we move 😅🤍

And although you won’t see him grafting, he’ll still be popping in to see us - maybe covering the very odd shift, but most probably hoovering, dusting or schmoozing with our Friday lunch girl gang… 🥰

As the year ends, I’m not rushing to set goals or resolutions.
I’m thinking about seeds…

The quiet growth.
The invisible strength.
The small moments of showing up that quietly changed everything.

Movement has taught me this:
growth doesn’t need force — it needs consistency, patience, and presence.

If you’re stepping into a new year, let it be gently.
You don’t need to become someone new.
You’re already becoming — every time you choose to listen to your body and show up again.

As we move into 2026 at Sass, this is the energy we’re carrying forward:
less pressure, more presence.
less intensity, more consistency.
movement that supports real life — not perfection.
