I am delighted to share my new training with you with an upcoming workshop at Studio 21, Pilates, Yoga and Movement Studio in our beautiful Saltburn Studio....dates and times to be confirmed....but places will be limited and this unique workshop is expected to sell out fast , so do watch this space...
What is Yogalates?
Yogalates has the most effective, and more importantly - safest elements of traditional yoga and modern Pilates to create a dynamic fusion of East and West.
Yogalates combines both yoga and pilates to Target deep core muscles neglected in most yoga classes. We incorporate resistance training to gain strength, muscle tone and bone density.
This therapeutics-based exercise is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The method combines core-stabilising, posture-enhancing mat work Pilates with regenerative ancient Yogic practices; encouraging strength, stamina, tone and flexibility.
As a holistic approach to health and fitness, Yogalates uses the breath as the central focus; bringing balance and unity to body, mind and spirit. As well using yoga props such as bricks, belts and bolsters, we work with resistance bands and hand weights to enhance strength, stamina and balance.
Yogic breathing techniques are an integral part of the method; calming the mind, soothing the nervous system and detoxifying the body.
Yoga and Pilates support you in different and Cmpliementay ways. If you have a current yoga practice, but want to build deeper core strength, this workshop is for you. If you practise Pilates already, but would love to find greater flexibility and cultivate peace of mind to help with day-to-day stress, Yogalates for you. If you are a complete beginner to yoga and pilates, this workshop is for you.
Combining the body conditioning benefits of mat work Pilates with the physical, mental and spiritual practices of Yoga to bring a sense of overall balance to body, mind and spirit.
We will be offering a 2 hour weekend workshop to introduce you to Yogalates.
We also have a weekly class on Wednesday 11 to 12 which is available to book now...
