💛 Are you supporting a relative or friend with dementia from a distance? We’d love to hear from you.
Researchers at the University of Greenwich, together with colleagues from King’s College London, LSE, University of Hull, and Dementia UK, are exploring what it’s like to provide dementia support when you live an hour or more away from your loved one.
They want to understand the challenges, the practical realities, and how homecare services fit into distance caring relationships—so future support can be better shaped around real experiences.
Who can take part?
You may be eligible if you:
• Are 18+
• Live in England
• Support a friend or relative with dementia who receives or has received home care
• Live 1+ hours away from the person you support
• Have supported them currently or within the last 12 months
💬 What’s involved?
• A relaxed 20–45 minute conversation with a researcher
• Optional opportunity to share photographs that represent your experience of distance care
• Your relative or friend may also be able to take part
