HUGE WELL DONE TO RYAN AND FIONA BOTH PLACING SECOND FOR AYRSHIRE MR AND MISS🥳🤩

Last night our club Chairman, Ryan Kennedy and club Secretary, Fiona Gemmell competed in the Ayrshire Mr and Miss competition at Maybole Town Hall🪩

Congratulations to both of you placing second🥈 So so proud of you guys🎉🎉

Good luck to those competing at West Mr and Miss on October 25th💃🏽especially our Chairman and Secretary as they represent Ayrshire🤩🤩

Well done must also go to Billy Yuille and Joanne Kerr from Ayr Young Farmers, Karen Shepard from Kilmaurs Young Farmers and David Murdoch from Beith Young Farmers and to all other competitors!!⭐️

👑Competitor Introductions👑

Today we are introducing our competitors from Mauchline YFC , Ryan Kennedy and Fiona Gemmell.

Ryan joined Mauchline at 15 years old, after a short absence while he studied at university and worked he returned to jump straight into the senior committee. He rapidly climbed the ladder to find himself club chairman this year, a role he is thoroughly enjoying.
Ryan is a keen curler, this has given him the opportunity to feed his passion for travel and compete in multiple countries including Norway, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
Ryan surprised himself not long ago by discovering a liking for the Rally Suckled Calf competition. Having now caught the bug he’s planning to compete in the competition for many years to come.🥌

Fiona is this years club secretary. As her job is a maths teacher she is well practised at keeping a group of people organised and on track, an essential skill for a club secretary.
She has been a keen member of the club for the last 9 years having initially been inspired to join by her old siblings. She looks forward to supporting club members new and old as she moves through future club roles.
Outside of Young Farmers Fiona’s hobbies are dog walking, singing, baking, music, meeting up with friends and travel.🐶

On Thursday, we held our new members night where we had an excellent night of chaos😇

HUGE thank you to our junior committee who did a fantastic job of setting up and preparing the activities for us👏🏼

HOME LEG OF EXCHANGE WITH GLENO VALLEY 🌟

Two weekends ago we hosted our home leg of our exchange with Gleno Valley Young Farmers. This was a fun filled weekend which was throughly enjoyed by members from both clubs.

On Friday we had a quick pick up from the boat before a few drinks and headed off to Adam’s 21st. Thanks for to Adam for having us along 🎂🎉

Saturday, we headed to Boswell’s Coach house for brunch. 😋 Afterwards we headed along to watch club member Jamie Drummond play Rugby in a match of Ayr RFC against Glasgow Hawks. Was a great result with Ayr coming out on top! 💪🏻 We then loaded onto a bus heading for Beith Bongos Bingo. This was a great night as always with 4 of our members winning prizes 🤩👏🏻

On Sunday, we headed along to Laigh Tarbeg for a farm tour, massive thanks to the Watson family for allowing us this opportunity to get an insight into their working farm. 🐄😄

We look forward to heading back across the water again later in the year.
