🎅🎄Our amazing Activity Team have truly embraced the festive spirit today, starting off with with a very special Christmas Pamper Morning. They treated our ladies and gents to a relaxing and joyful experience, helping everyone look and feel their best as they prepared for the celebrations ahead. From gentle pampering to cheerful conversation, it was a lovely morning filled with smiles and Christmas cheer.

The festivities continued with our much-loved Annual Christmas Prize Bingo, a highlight of the season for many. Laughter, excitement, and friendly competition filled the room as residents enjoyed the games and the chance to win festive prizes. 🎅🎄

Our Residents’ Christmas Choir is in full festive swing, filling our home with the joyful sound of the season. With rehearsals underway today, the choir is busy practicing their favorite Christmas classics and preparing heartfelt performances for our upcoming Christmas Carol Service. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and love of music shine through each note, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

“A wonderful afternoon spent taking some of our lovely gents to verdes for a festive lunch. The atmosphere was warm, the food exceptional, and each gentleman enjoyed a well-deserved tipple of their choice. Enjoying the heart of Chorley, our gents recently spent a lovely afternoon shopping in the town centre before rounding off the day with a festive pint at a local pub.🍺
We also celebrated the season with our Christmas Poetry Corner, where residents brought along their favourite festive poems to read, share, and discuss together 📖

Today our home was filled with laughter, excitement, and a wonderful touch of Christmas magic—all thanks to our very own George. Dressed from head to toe as Santa, he made his way through the home delivering Christmas cards to every resident, stopping for smiles, hugs, and little moments of joy along the way.

George was greeted with an outpouring of warmth everywhere he went. His cheerful spirit, twinkling eyes, and wholehearted enthusiasm brought a special kind of festive glow that brightened the entire day. It wasn’t just the red suit or the jingling hat—it was the kindness and generosity he shared that truly made the moment unforgettable.

It’s designed to spark conversation, encourage teamwork, and add a touch of celebration to the season.

What a magical evening we had taking our residents to Mawdelsey Village Hall for this year’s Christmas panto! From the moment the curtain went up, the cast brought the stage to life with brilliant performances, sparkling energy, and plenty of festive cheer. A huge well done to every single member of the cast and crew — your hard work, talent, and enthusiasm shone through in every scene.

We didn’t stop laughing all night! The jokes, the costumes, the music, and the wonderfully silly moments had everyone smiling from start to finish. It was the perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit and create some truly special memories together.

A heartfelt thank you to Mawdesley Amateur Dramatic Society - MADS for giving us such a warm, joyful, and laughter-filled night. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s panto! 🎄✨🎭

💚Elf Day 2025 was an absolute blast! ❤️
Today our staff and residents transformed into a merry team of pint-sized mischief-makers, jingle bell enthusiasts, and full-time festive troublemakers. Everywhere you turned, there was another sparkly hat, stripy stocking, or pair of pointy shoes ready to spread some cheer!

Everyone went all-in on the fun—costumes were brighter, smiles were bigger, and the giggles were definitely louder. From cheeky elves causing laughter in the hallways to creative outfits worthy of Santa’s workshop runway, the effort was unreal and the results were amazing.

🎅Our residents had a wonderful time at the Christmas Tea Dance Party in Leyland yesterday afternoon. They enjoyed a festive afternoon tea, made new friends, and joined in a good old sing-along to some favourite Christmas songs. It was a joyful, heart-warming afternoon filled with laughter, music, and holiday cheer. 🎅

Today’s outing took us to Hesking Hall, where we enjoyed a relaxed browse around the shops, taking in the festive displays and lively atmosphere. A stop at the café was a must, and we treated ourselves to fresh scones and hot coffee—made even sweeter by unexpectedly bumping into some old friends along the way. ☕️🥧

This afternoon, the festive spirit continues as we settle into our first Christmas movie of the season, Christmas with the Kranks, playing in our amazing cinema room. With coffee in hand and mince pies on the side, it’s the perfect cosy way to welcome the holiday season.🧑‍🎄🎄🎅
