This morning we got creative by colouring some beautiful Chinese-themed pictures as we get ready for our new Bon Voyage Club destination — China 🇨🇳. A lovely, calm way to start exploring a new culture, and everyone really enjoyed adding their own splash of colour 🎨

After a busy and fun-filled Greek Week 🇬🇷, we enjoyed a much more relaxing Saturday 💙
We spent the afternoon making our own fat balls using lard, seeds and pine cones – a lovely, calming activity and great for our feathered friends 🐦
Valerie also enjoyed some quiet time completing the wordsearch in our newsletter, keeping her mind nicely engaged 😊
A perfect way to slow things down and recharge 🌿

As our Greek Week 🇬🇷 has come to an end, we finished on a real high with a fantastic visit from Yiannis, a traditional Greek dancer 💃🕺
Yiannis had residents, family members, and staff all up on their feet, clapping, dancing, and soaking up the wonderful Greek atmosphere. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and amazing energy to end a brilliant week of activities.
What a perfect way to say ευχαριστώ and close our Greek adventure! 💙🤍✨ Apologies for all the videos but they were too good not to share.

This afternoon at Mavern Melodies, we enjoyed our Thursday sing-along, filled with smiles, warmth, and some truly lovely singing from everyone involved. 🎶

Afterwards, our residents came together for an important gathering with our manager, Rosie, and deputy, Shona. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts and ideas about activities, menus, and day-to-day life. Making sure each resident has their say is so important to us, and we were delighted to hear so many great suggestions and contributions — all enjoyed alongside some delicious cakes and a comforting cup of tea or coffee. :D

To round off the day, our supper club was a big hit. Residents spent quality time socialising in the lounge over tea, with some friendly competition playing traditional dominoes and Scrabble.

A busy but truly fun and fulfilling day all around! :)

Nicky has had a bit of fun today turning some of our residents into airline staff ✈️😊
From pilots to cabin crew, there were lots of smiles and laughter as everyone got into character. It was lovely to see our residents enjoying the fun and bringing our travel theme to life 🌍💙

🌍 Bon Voyage Club 🌍
In our Bon Voyage Club today we carried on our Greek theme by making beautiful laurel wreath headbands and colourful Greek mosaics.
Peter also showed us a mosaic he brought back from Greece, which sparked lots of lovely conversations and memories. There was plenty of chatting about holidays we’ve taken to Greece and favourite destinations over the years.
A wonderful afternoon full of creativity, reminiscing and travel talk 🇬🇷✨

🇬🇷✨ Greek Week has begun! ✨🇬🇷
This week is Greek Week and we’ve kicked off our Bon Voyage Club in true Greek style! We got busy baking delicious Greek butter cookies, filling the home with the most wonderful smells. 🍪
The fun continued with a lively game of skittles… with a twist, as we played using the pictures of Greek Gods! Lots of laughs, friendly competition and a fantastic start to a very exciting week. ⚡🏺

This afternoon we enjoyed a classic Family Fortunes–style quiz game, splitting into teams for some friendly competition. There was loads of great teamwork, brilliant team talk, and plenty of laughs along the way. Fantastic company from everyone and a really enjoyable time all round. :D

Team 1 came out on top — well done to Billy, Cynthia, Maureen, and Jean! A fab day overall 👏🎉

This morning we got creative making some beautiful beaded bracelets ✨ Some of us even personalised them with our names, and they turned out lovely.
This afternoon it was game time with target darts and bean bag throw 🎯👏 A big well done to Stuart, who came out on top with an impressive 200 points! Lots of fun and friendly competition all round 😊

We’ve had a wonderfully busy and eventful day filled with lots of activities and smiles!! 😊
We started the morning with some lovely 1-to-1 pampering time, where a couple of our ladies enjoyed having their nails done. This was followed by a good old-fashioned game of Scrabble and word searches with our students, using the interactive tablet to keep minds active and engaged. :D

Then this afternoon we were treated to the Maven Melodies, enjoying cheerful singing of classic songs that brought warmth, smiles, and plenty of toe-tapping moments for everyone involved. :)

For residents who preferred a quieter activity, we had Valentine’s arts and crafts and colouring, getting creative in preparation for
our special Valentine’s Day celebrations ❤️

To finish the day, we enjoyed a general knowledge mixed quiz with some friendly competition. Billy came out on top and very kindly donated his prize to his friend Barbara – a truly thoughtful gesture.
A fun-filled, busy, and heart-warming day all round! 🌟
