Some of the most common questions I get asked by people who are trying to lose weight are:

ā€œWhat’s a good snack?ā€

ā€œDo I need to snack less?ā€

Snacking isn’t inherently bad by any stretch.

But, in most cases, snacks are generally quite energy dense and not very filling.

Kind of at odds with weight loss tbh.

Before you kick snacking into touch take a look the options in the post. These might be helpful if you’re trying to stay full and reduce calories.

These are some of the most common habits I hear many people, including my clients, want to make stick.

Some of these solutions may sound incredibly simple and perhaps very obvious to you.

They are.

That’s why they’ll work.

The simple stuff sticks.

For something to become a habit you must drill many reps.

If it’s simple, it’s more repeatable and therefore more likely to stick.

Don’t overcomplicate something you don’t have to.

Body fat ā¬‡ļø Muscle mass ā¬†ļø

The most effective way to change Michael’s body wasn’t a recomp but a period of weight loss followed by a phase of lean gaining.

The emphasis during the weight loss phase was on his performance not taking a hit, which it definitely didn’t - strength numbers didn’t drop and everything else improved šŸ“ˆ

When done properly, fat loss shouldn’t impact your strength.

The biggest takeaway from this is not to focus too much on the scales. The number in both pictures is identical but the bodies are quite different.

What a man šŸ«±šŸ»ā€šŸ«²šŸ¼

It shouldn’t be overwhelming. Build habits that will last a lifetime šŸ‘ŠšŸ»
