We really enjoyed presenting our recent work at the Chippenham Annual Town Meeting as one of the Mayor’s charities last week. It’s always great to share with the wider public how we support young people in the communities we serve.

Thank you again for the continuous support of Conor Melvin - Chippenham Town Councillor & Mayor 24/25 and Chippenham Town Council 🧡💙

It's the last of our Feedback Friday posts for now - we hope you've enjoyed hearing from some of the young people we have supported and the difference it has made.

🧡 There is no shame in struggling with your mental health. In fact, according to NHS research In 2023, about 1 in 5 children and young people aged 8 to 25 years had a probable mental disorder*

💙 It's time for Feedback Friday - we love being able to share the impact of our work with you all 🫶

🧡 One young person we've helped said "It helped a lot since I don't really express my feelings to anyone, and I've been able to while in my sessions."

💙 Being able to express your true feelings in a safe, comfortable, non-judgemental and confidential space is key when it comes to supporting good mental health. That's why our 1:1 counselling sessions, provided by fully trained and compassionate staff, are so important.

🧡 Here at TeenTalk, confidentiality is paramount, and we respect everyone's right to privacy and anonymity. That's why the feedback posts we share won't have a name on unless permission has been given, and all images we use are stock photos.

💙 Want to find out more about how we can help you or a family member? Please email hello@teentalk.org.uk or pop over to our website to complete a referral form.

💙 It's week two of our Feedback Friday series. Here's what one young person who benefitted from our service said:

"I feel like it's ok to feel something...and people care about my feelings"

🧡 Helping people to understand that their feelings are valid can really improve their mental health. It can also help them be more empathetic towards others in their lives; and we could all do with a bit more empathy in the world right now.

🧡 Here at TeenTalk Wiltshire we strive to remember the WHY in our work. Why do we do what we do? Well, it's to help children, young adults and their families in our communities with their mental health and wellbeing.

💙 How do we do this? By providing confidential 1:1 counselling sessions either online, or in-person.

🧡 One way to assess our impact is through feedback from the families we've supported. We thought we'd share some lovely comments from some of these families over the next few weeks. Don't worry though; we treat everything we do with the strictest of confidence and respect everyone's right to privacy and anonymity. That's why the feedback we share won't have a name on, unless permission has been granted.
