Q: How does it actually work though, what does a sound bath do?
A: A sound bath supports your brainwave change from beta (normal awake state) to alpha (relaxed conscious state), it can also reach theta and delta (meditative and sleep states) In these states the body and mind is able to focus on itself thus giving relaxation and healing. Does having some respite time, being told to rest and sleep more when unwell to give your body a chance to heal sound familiar? (Scientific this next bit 🤓) Physics Laws come into how sound baths work. A sound bath affects you on a physical, emotional and mental level using the principles of sympathetic resonance and entrainment. What?! Entrainment in a nutshell is synchronisation, the sound frequency and rhythms being played in the sound bath provides a stable frequency that the brainwave can ‘entrain’ to, a fast track route to the states where your mind and body can has the space to rest and heal.
