I create and deliver a range of ceremonies and services, which are free from the constraints that traditional ministers or humanist celebrants may adhere to. The ceremony or service may be entire
ly non-religious or include religious content, according to the wishes of those concerned. During our meeting, we can discuss options and ideas, and together we will create a meaningful and bespoke service or ceremony to mark the occasion. With a background in nursing, customer service and experience in counselling I am aware of the importance of listening. Through my training in healthcare, together with teaching opportunities, I feel comfortable and confident in both writing and public speaking. I was drawn to the work of a Celebrant, after the passing of my mother-in-law and a close friend. I witnessed first-hand a service performed by a celebrant, which celebrated the individual and honoured their life, whilst respectfully marking their passing, regardless of their religious beliefs. As an Independent Civil Celebrant, I get immense satisfaction from creating and delivering a ceremony or service, which reflects the individual, couple or family concerned. These include Weddings, Renewal of Vows, Baby Naming/Adoption Ceremonies, Separation Ceremonies, Funerals (Cremations, Burials & Woodland Burials), Memorials, Interment or Scattering of Ashes, End of Life Ceremonies, as well as other bespoke occasions. I am based in Melksham and cover the Wiltshire area, parts of Somerset and some outlying areas. I am able to consider other venues and locations further afield, but an additional charge to cover travel and possible accommodation would be added.
