🩹🩻Reminder: Accessing Minor Injury Units (MIUs) 🩹🩻

Your local Minor Injury Unit (MIU) can treat a wide range of problems such as:
✅ Sprains and strains
✅ Minor fractures (broken bones)
✅ Cuts and grazes
✅ Minor head injuries (without loss of consciousness)
✅ Bites and stings
✅ Minor burns and scalds

We are seeing an increase in patients contact us/turn up at the surgery following a fall/sports injury etc where there is a suspected fracture. Please attend one of the local Minor Injury Units for further advice and possible X-ray. We are unable to treat these conditions at the surgery and you will be advised to attend the local MIU service by our care navigators.

👉 If you’re unsure where to go, you can call NHS 111 for advice.
👉 For life-threatening emergencies, always call 999.
