Metatarsalgia & Stress Fractures

Pain and inflammation in the ball of the foot, often from overloading or faulty biomechanics.
Common cause
Excessive running, jumping, Poor footwear, thin soles, high heels, worn out trainers.
Tight, calf muscle, short Achilles.
Bunions, hammertoes, high arches
Too much weight through the feet.

Symptoms
Sharp aching burning pain in the ball of the foot.
Pain, worsen, standing running walking.
Pebble in shoe sensation.
Sometimes numb, sometimes tingling

Massage can help plantar fascia and intrinsic foot muscles, release calf muscles, reducing forefoot loading
Help yourself with  ice after training at supportive footwear change to low impact exercise, e.g. swimming cycling…
