What an incredible experience! 🌟

We had the absolute best time on a canal boat with Mosaic 1898 – such a fantastic day from start to finish. The boat was fully accessible, which meant we could enjoy being up on deck while also having the option to stay warm and comfortable inside.

We even stopped off at Birstall fisheries for some delicious fish and chips – the perfect addition to an already amazing trip! 🍟🐟

Truly an unforgettable experience, and one we’d recommend to anyone! 💙

We had such a lovely afternoon visiting Sherard Primary School

We joined the Year 3 students for a science lesson, where we learned all about the different parts of a flower.

The residents found it fascinating to see what a modern-day classroom looks like and enjoyed sharing stories with the children about what school life used to be like many years ago.

The visit was especially meaningful for David, who was a scientist and still regularly attends U3A meetings to discuss biochemistry, and for Elizabeth, who was once a school teacher herself.

It was wonderful to see generations coming together, sharing stories, learning from one another, and making special memories.

A big thank you to all of the students and staff for such a warm welcome—we loved every minute of it 💛

With the warmer (ish!) weather finally making an appearance, the Wilton Walkers Club is back in full swing 🌿☀️

This week we enjoyed a lovely riverside walk—taking in the tees, sculptures, and even spotting our first bluebells of the year. Spring is definitely on its way!

Looking forward to many more walks like this💙

Back at the National Ice Centre this week — we loved it so much last time, we just had to come again! ⛸️✨

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was brilliant and the team were incredible as always — so friendly, helpful, and full of energy. It really makes all the difference and keeps us coming back!

Another absolutely amazing day on the ice, full of laughs, memories, and plenty of fun. Already looking forward to our next visit! 🙌❄️

What a fantastic evening of cocktail making! 🍸✨

A huge thank you to Chronically Melton Mowbray and Melton Health Peer to Peer Support for being part of such a special night, and to all the family members, residents, and members of our community who joined us. Your energy made the evening truly memorable.

From shaking cocktails to sharing plenty of laughs, it was an evening full of fun, connection, and great company. We can’t wait to do it all again soon! 🥂

We proudly wore yellow for East Midlands Ambulance Service “Go Yellow Together” 💛

We were also treated to a wonderful performance from Melton Mowbray U3A Generation Gap Orchestra, which made the afternoon even more special!

A fantastic day all around, raising funds and coming together to support such an amazing cause — thank you to everyone who took part!
