Struggling with Sensory sensitivities at home?

Try this simple game:

1. Mystery Bag (Touch/Tactile)
Purpose: Build tactile awareness and object recognition.
Materials: Bag with small everyday objects (spoon, key, block, ball, fabric, toy animal).
How to Play:

Place 5–8 items in the bag.

Child reaches in, feels one, and describes it (“hard, cold, bumpy”).

Guess before pulling it out.

🌞 Summer Sessions Are Here! 🌞

At Children’s Therapy Solutions, we’re excited to be running weekly sessions throughout the summer holidays at our fully equipped clinics in Warrington and Melton Mowbray! 🧡

Each session is designed and delivered by our experienced Sensory Integration-trained Occupational Therapists and will take place in our purpose-built, fully kitted-out therapy spaces.

These sessions are welcoming and inclusive, created to support children of all abilities and capabilities – whether your child needs a little extra support or just loves to play, explore, and grow!

Here’s what’s on this summer:

👶 Baby Sensory - 0 months - 18months

Warrington: Fridays at 9:00am, starting 18th July (5 weeks)

Melton Mowbray: Mondays at 12:00pm, starting 14th July (6 weeks)

🚶‍♂️ Little Movers & Mess Makers - 19 months to 2 years and 11 months

Warrington: Fridays at 11:00am, starting 18th July (5 weeks)

Melton Mowbray: Fridays at 12:00pm, starting 18th July (5 weeks)

🧩 Skill Builders – Play & Learn 3 & 5 year olds

Warrington: Thursdays at 12:00pm, starting 17th July (4 weeks)

Melton Mowbray: Wednesdays at 9:00am, starting 16th July (6 weeks)

✨ All sessions are thoughtfully designed to help build confidence, coordination, communication, and sensory skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Having seen first hand the positive impact as Sensory and Trauma Occupational Therapists we have delivered to many children and families it's with worry and sadness to read today about the government's decision to reduce ASGSF funding by 40%.

It is hard to comprehend the impact this will have to both children who have already endured a traumatic start in life or to the family who have had an uphill struggle to secure essential therapy.

The governments actions are senseless and short sighted and risk causing further strains on families and increased risk to breakdowns.

As previously mentioned we are here and are fervently working with the social workers on how to support all families under our care without reducing the quality of our therapy service we are very proud in delivering.
