Sometimes the path feels clear, almost Spring like.

You feel grounded.
Calm.
Light.
Like yourself.

And then there are seasons where the path feels completely overgrown, the way is messy.

You’re juggling work, family, emotional labour, endless mental lists and trying to keep everything moving whilst quietly feeling disconnected from yourself underneath it all.

I think so many women in midlife feel like this.

Not broken.
Not failing.
Just carrying a lot.

Lately I’ve been thinking about the small things that bring us back to ourselves again.

A walk.
Fresh air.
Movement.
A proper meal.
Five quiet minutes before everyone wakes up.
A conversation with someone who makes you feel safe.
Tiny moments that remind you that you matter too.

Not perfection.
Not some impossible wellness routine.
Just small, realistic ways of supporting yourself through the season you are in.

I wrote a longer piece about this today, about overwhelm, self-care, comparison and finding your way back when life feels noisy.

If you’re in a season where you feel a little lost in the woods, this one is for you.

A new season of retreats is taking shape.

Snow-covered landscapes.
Atlantic coastlines.
Long days in wild, quiet places.

From the stillness of the Stockholm Archipelago,
to the wild coastline of Morocco
and the winter light of Finnish Lapland,
alongside the places closer to home that many of you return to, year after year.

We don’t release everything publicly at once.

What if the thing you’re craving isn’t more motivation…but more space?

Space to think clearly again.
Space to hear yourself again.
Space away from the constant noise, pressure and doing.

That’s what Sweden feels like to me.

Cold sea air.
Long Nordic days.
Morning swims in still water.
Saunas warming tired bodies.
Conversations around the table that somehow go deeper, faster.
The kind of simplicity that makes you realise how overwhelmed modern life can feel.

Next spring we are heading to the Stockholm Archipelago for six days of yoga, cold water, island life and deep exhale moments in wild, beautiful places.

Not a retreat about becoming someone new.

A retreat about remembering yourself again.

Comment “SWEDEN” below to be first to hear when dates go live.

Midlife has a way of quietly asking questions we’ve often avoided for years.

Who am I beneath all the roles I carry?

Motherhood. Work. Relationships. Caring for everyone else whilst quietly losing sight of yourself somewhere underneath it all.

And for many women, midlife can feel like holding everything at once, children, ageing parents, the mental load of everyday life, and for some, the shifts of perimenopause and menopause too.

It’s a lot.

One thing I’ve learnt through both life and hosting retreats is this: women rarely need fixing.

Often, they simply need space.

Space to breathe.
Space to think.
Space to remember who they are again.

And that’s why retreat matters so much to me.

Not as an escape from life, but as a chance to pause long enough to hear yourself again.

This August we return to Anglesey for days shaped by sea swims, yoga, coastal walks, nourishing food, sauna sessions and slow evenings with like-minded women.

Simple things, done well.
Space to exhale.
Space to reconnect.

August retreat spaces on Anglesey now live via the link in bio.

Is there anything better than that first spring morning when you can finally have breakfast outside?

After a long UK winter, we instinctively move towards the light. A bit of sunshine, time outside, and everything shifts. Mood and energy are on the up.

Outdoor living has always been part of my life. Not in a big way, just in the everyday. Running, walking, time at the beach. It’s something we return to without really thinking about. Being outside is a corner stone of my health.

There’s something powerful about being outside.
Sea, sky, trees, open air.

And yet, it’s not always easy to start.

That’s why I believe in micro moments. A short walk, a cup of tea outside, a few minutes of fresh air, they all add up.

Before long, you find yourself sitting hiking through woodlands, looking for adventures in green, blue… and yes, often grey spaces. But it all starts with that first step.

Calm. Space. Perspective. They all start to filter in once you head outdoors.

If your emotions have been feeling a little “spiky”, this is your reminder.

Go outside. Take a breath and exhale.

If you’re craving more of this, our retreats are built around it, time outside, simple days, and space to reset.

It’s 6am and the alarm goes… and in ten minutes I’m in a cold lake.

Madness? Maybe.

But there’s a moment, just after you get in, where everything else disappears.

No noise.
No overthinking.
Just breath, sensation, presence.

Cold water has this way of dropping you straight into the now. The mind quietens, the body takes over, and for a few minutes… nothing else matters.

And in a world where we spend so much time switched on, that feeling is rare.

There’s science behind it too, cold water stimulates the vagus nerve, helping the body shift out of stress and into a calmer, more balanced state. Something many of us, especially in midlife, are craving more than ever.

But honestly? It’s not just the science.

It’s the laughter as a group walks in together.
The shared “we’re actually doing this” moment.

And then the calm that follows.

Ten minutes in the water… and something shifts.

If you’ve ever been curious, consider this your sign.

We’ll be back in the water again soon💙

I put the kettle in the fridge this week…
and the yoghurt in the cupboard.

Funny… but also not.

Because behind it was something I couldn’t ignore anymore—
brain fog, low energy, that constant “tired but wired” feeling.

For years, I’ve pushed through it.
Said I was fine. Carried on.

But what if this isn’t just “midlife”…
what if it’s your body asking for something different?

Less intensity.
More intention.
Movement in nature that supports, not depletes.
Time outdoors. Space to slow down.

I’m calling this my midlife spring reset.

Not a quick fix—
a shift.

If you’ve been feeling the same, this is your reminder:
you’re not meant to feel like this forever.
