Our Four‑Part Creative Workshop Series

Our four‑part workshop series is designed to guide individuals through emotional exploration, confidence building, and personal reflection in a safe and supportive environment.

Using powerful artworks created by artists with lived experience of mental health challenges and substance use, each session offers opportunities for healing, mindfulness, and peer connection.

Our Out of Work Service team had a fantastic day in Pontypridd, running a creative art session with our participants. We’re proud to share some of the incredible artwork created, a real reflection of creativity, self‑expression, and mindfulness.

Art sessions like these are a wonderful way to support mental wellbeing. They offer a space where you can fully immerse yourself, lose track of time, and focus purely on creating. No pressure, no expectations — just be ready to make.

🔵All materials are provided.

Stay tuned for more sessions , we’ll keep you updated!

If you have any questions, please contact our team and we’ll be happy to help:

Able Futures Team Workshop: Strengthening Practice Together

Last week, our Able Futures team came together for a two‑day, in‑person workshop — a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and strengthen how we work together.

These sessions weren’t about adding more information, but about creating shared understanding, reinforcing good practice, and building confidence in how the service is delivered day to day. The focus on reflection, discussion and practical application created real momentum.

What stood out most was the openness in the room and the commitment to doing this work well —thoughtfully, consistently, and with participants at the centre.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the workshop happen, and to our coaches for bringing such professionalism, honesty and engagement to the space.

One Purpose, One Team: Keeping Wales Healthy and Working

In March, we brought together colleagues, partners, and stakeholders at Cardiff City Stadium for an event focused on Keeping Wales Healthy and Working, and we’re proud to finally share some from the day.

The speakers, the engagement, and the conversations throughout the day were exactly what we hoped for, and the event truly reflected the values and impact of the work we do.

Beyond the numbers and presentations, the event told the story of who we are and where Case‑UK is heading. From our beginnings in Merthyr Tydfil to the thousands of lives supported over the years, our focus remains on impact, not activity.

Where we’re going:

Our new direction is built around SAFE ( Supportive Action For Everyone).

A shift toward earlier support, integrated services, and stronger communities and workplaces, creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported before challenges escalate.

As we move forward, our direction is clear:

🔵 stronger early intervention
🔵 integrated support
🔵 healthier communities and workplaces
🔵 support that helps people feel seen, heard, and valued

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and continues to be part of this journey. These photos capture just a small part of a day that represented everything Case‑UK stands for.

What an incredible day!

On 25th March, we had the privilege of hosting our Keep Wales Healthy event at Cardiff City Stadium, a day filled with insight, collaboration, and inspiring conversations focused on wellbeing.

At Case‑UK, part of The BUSY Group UK |The BUSY Group, we are proud to collaborate with organisations that share our vision for wellbeing, equity, and sustainable impact across Wales.

We started and ended the day with grounding yoga sessions, led beautifully by Kate Holly, the perfect way to open our minds, reset, and reflect. Thank you, Kate, for bringing calm, focus, and energy to our event.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing speakers, each of whom brought depth, honesty, lived experience, and practical wisdom:

🟣 Tim Pattenden – Case‑UK

Tim shared a powerful overview of Case‑UK’s journey and the direction we’re heading. He spoke about the real cost of "doing nothing", the importance of early intervention, and introduced our new S A F E framework : Supportive Action For Everyone — designed to strengthen workplaces, communities, and the wellbeing of people across Wales.

🟣Rhys Morris FIEP Managing Director(UK & Europe) - The BUSY Group UK

Rhys provided a clear and compelling overview of the strategic direction of The BUSY Group, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities through education, skills, and employment.

🟣 Dr Richard Gater – Care Centre for Research Wales

🟣Carys Lodwick – Redkite Law

Helped us see how employment law and tough HR moments can be navigated with clarity, humanity, and empathy.

🟣 Lara Rebecca – UK Sports Institute

Lara shared her powerful personal story, exploring how movement isn’t just about physical health — it’s a tool for boosting performance, confidence, decision‑making and concentration.

🟣 Oliver Williams – Public Health Wales

Shared his expertise from Healthy Working Wales, emphasising people‑centred environments where everyone can flourish.

🟣 Emma Jay Hopkins – Wellfinite

Discussed stress prevention, resilience, and maternal mental health with passion and purpose , empowering women and workplaces alike.

🟣 Emma Hanford – Case‑UK

Spoke about social value, justice, and collaborative change — turning big ideas into meaningful impact for communities across Wales.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us : partners, practitioners, leaders and organisations committed to building healthier, stronger communities.

We’ll continue releasing key takeaways and stories from the event, so keep an eye out.

And if you happened to notice a slight change in our colours… let’s just say there’s a reason. More updates are on their way.

Celebrating Neurodiversity: Creating Supportive Environments at Work

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a powerful reminder that there is no single “correct” way to think, learn, feel, or experience the world. Human brains are wonderfully varied, and this diversity is what drives creativity, problem-solving, and progress.

What’s often labelled as “different” is simply the natural variation in how our minds work. While neurotypical ways of thinking are often treated as the norm, innovation rarely comes from sameness.

When workplaces embrace these differences, teams become more resilient, more innovative, and more effective.

At Case-UK, we're committed to adapting our working environments to meet people’s individual needs so everyone can feel supported, confident, and able to thrive.

Here are some practical ways organisations can support neurodivergent colleagues through environment and culture:

🟣Provide quiet spaces or low‑stimulus areas for focused work or decompression

🟣Offer flexible working options, including hybrid work, varied break schedules, or adjusted hours

🟣Consider sensory needs such as lighting, noise levels, temperature, or screen brightness

🟣Use clear, structured communication: written instructions, agendas in advance, prioritised tasks

🟣Allow choice in how work is completed, embracing different ways of thinking and producing ideas

🟣Ensure meetings are accessible with clear expectations, simple language, and optional cameras

🟣Encourage strengths‑based working, matching tasks with individual talents

🟣Avoid a “one-size-fits-all” approach, personalise adjustments where possible

Able Futures is our core programme at Case‑UK, offering working adults free, confidential mental health support tailored to individual needs.

As part of this programme, individuals can access the Adult Neurodiversity

Do‑It Profiler, which helps them to:

🟣Identify personal strengths and areas where support may be helpful

🟣Understand their preferred ways of thinking, learning, and working

🟣Receive practical, personalised strategies for everyday success

🟣Highlight workplace adjustments that can improve comfort, well-being, and performance

Whether you’re an SME or an individual looking for support, if you’d like to explore Able Futures or learn how Case‑UK can help you create a more inclusive and supportive working environment, we’re here to help.
