Our clinical pharmacology unit was established in 1976 and is part of Simbec-Orion. With over 45 years of operation, we are one of Europe’s leading clinical research organisations providing clinical research services to both the European and international pharmaceutical industry. We are part of the MHRA Phase I Accreditation Scheme and have carried out over 1800 clinical trials. Our purpose-built

UK 58-bed clinical unit is staffed and led by a team of experienced physicians/doctors, research nurses, physiologists, technicians who provide cover 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our full range of equipment and on-site facilities are designed to give volunteers and patients an informed and comfortable experience from screening through to trial completion.

Happy New Year from us at Simbec Orion!

We're ringing in the new year with some exciting updates here at Simbec, including a fresh new system! Over the Christmas period, we've been hard at work getting everything into tip-top shape for you, our wonderful volunteers. While the system was temporarily down, we're happy to report that it's now up and running.

If you’ve made or attempted to make an application in the past two weeks, we kindly ask that you reapply so we can process your application as quickly as possible.

This year, we’ve had the incredible privilege of screening 1,061 amazing individuals for trials at Simbec Orion! Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do—your unwavering support and dedication is truly amazing!

A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your commitment and participation.

Please note that we will be closed from December 23rd, 2024, and will reopen on January 2nd, 2025. We can't wait to reconnect and continue working together in the New Year.
