We are so fortunate at Centre to have a range of practitioners offering different approaches, each supporting people at different stages of their healing journey.

I’m Sara, a Yoga Teacher, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapist, and Integrative Mind–Body and Somatic Nervous System Coach.

My path into this work has been both professional and deeply personal.

Coming from a background in Biomedical Sciences, I began my holistic carer as a yoga teacher, drawn to the body as a place of connection and healing. Over time, this expanded into mindfulness-based therapy, and later into mind–body and somatic work, work mostly with those experiencing chronic pain, stress or trauma-related health symptoms.

My role at Centre often involves helping people understand their nervous system and the mind–body connection, whether through yoga, somatic courses and workshops or more in-depth coaching work.

I see this as a process of learning to land in the body again.

As people begin to feel safer in their body, something shifts. There is more space to listen, to understand patterns, and to gently explore how past experiences and stress may be held within the system.

From there, we can begin to work with the root of symptoms, at a pace that feels supportive.

At different points in this process, people may also be supported by other complementary therapies within the Centre. I deeply value this integrated way of working, where each modality has its place.

My own journey has shaped this work. After living for many years with fibromyalgia, burnout, and multiple chronic symptoms, I experienced how powerful this mind–body approach can be when the system is supported in the right way.

At the heart of it, my intention is to support people in reconnecting with their body with more understanding, compassion, and trust, to move away from feeling broken, into restoring their nervous system, health and live fully again.

If you’re curious about how this might support you, you can find out more through the Centre.

Warmly
Sara

Why I integrate traditional counselling and psychotherapy with other modalities - Jules Sealby

In my experience of working with my clients, a therapy journey unfolds in 3 phases:

1) What am I really addressing?
For this phase, psychodynamic work takes priority.
Psychodynamic work is understanding what’s underneath your patterns of being and how they are connected to what’s happening in life in the here and now. It explores how past experiences, often outside of awareness, continue to shape how you feel, relate, and respond. This is often highly illuminating, but can sit more in the mind.

2 )Moving through what has been held or is stuck
Our emotional experience lives not just in the mind, but primarily in the body. It is possible to understand something completely and still feel stuck or unchanged because it hasn’t shifted in the body.
Real change often comes when what’s been held physically and emotionally is able to move through, as well as being understood. For this we need to work with the nervous system to lean into somatic practices that really move that old energy, bringing with it release, freedom and real change.

3) Integration
What moves in the sessions needs space to settle and make sense.
Integration is what carries that into daily life, so change isn’t temporary, it becomes embodied and long lasting over time. We can safely let go aspects of life that no longer serve us with support to find our true alignment and build anew.

Each of these phases holds a level of challenge and real courage, and when fully connected with truly represents evolution of self…

What you’re seeing here is frequency moving through water.

As the vibration changes, the pattern reorganises. Our body (being mostly water) responds in a similar way.

Sound is a frequency or vibrational medicine, helping to regulate our nervous system. It's simple, yet extremely powerful. When we receive the correct frequency, we heal.

All of our healing offerings work with frequency at some level.

Looking after our emotional health includes paying attention to all aspects of ourselves. When we do this, we come into balance, or become ‘centred’. Being centred is the optimum condition for full health, where self-actualisation or ultimate potential can be found. We aim to support you in establishing and maintaining this in a sustainable way.

Centre is a collective of independent professionals offering a variety of different modalities underpinned by shared values and ethos. All decisions, activities, practices and outcomes at Centre are traceable to these guiding principles.

These are:

Belief in the capacity of all human potential

Equal value of compassion for self and compassion for others

Trusting relationships built on honesty, communication, authenticity and integrity

Providing excellence in practice with quality assurance.

‘Normalisation’ and ‘positive’ culture, keeping in line with ethos/values

Centre Associates are independent professionals who enjoy the flexibility and creativity of self-employment, but appreciate being part of a well-being community/organisation. We are a resource to each other as well as to our clients. Whilst maintaining our own individual professional integrity, we will work collaboratively with other Associates either as part of an overall package, or with clients on an individual basis.

I’m Jules, a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Vibrational Medicine Practitioner and Founder of Centre.
I think of my work as being grounded from a place of Soul, Body, Mind – in that order.
I combine psychotherapeutic and holistic/energy medicine – utilising wisdom from both the east and west. My clients may experience talking therapy, somatic work, energy healing or shamanic practices – the exact prescription is determined by the energy of the client. I also offer clinical supervision and psychospiritual mentoring.
In the wider community, I teach Reiki and spiritual development courses and offer heart-led holding spaces such as Cacao ceremonies or group breathwork.
Everything I offer comes back to the same place — supporting people back to their authentic selves. Back to their Centre.
If you’re curious about how this might work for you, I offer a free in-person consultation as helping you find the best fit for you is key.

April sees us welcome Kate O'Neill to Centre with our first ever pregnancy yoga classes...

Kate has taught pregnancy yoga since 2020. She wanted to learn this style of yoga because she felt there was not enough of an offering where she lived at the time and felt it was such an important thing to be able to offer expectant mothers. Kate says,

'Pregnancy yoga is such a lovely way to practice. It's super slow and considered, giving participants time to connect with themselves and their babies/bodies. It offers a safe way to explore movement and breathwork, and it's also a great way to create community and meet other expectant mothers. In reality, maternity leave can sometimes be a bit lonely (I know this from experience), so it's nice to have a few people you can call on to go for a walk with/have a coffee with who are also going through the same thing as you. It makes a huge difference.'

'My role isn't just to lead the class but to give mums-to-be autonomy over their own bodies. Finding a fluid way to move that feels liberating and not restrictive.'

Kate's classes are gentle and restorative but also offer the opportunity to move so you can stretch and gently strengthen your body and your mind. Breathwork is incorporated in every session to give participants time to reset, relax and learn breathing tools that can help during the baby's birth.
