WoW ….. an incredible honour and privilege to spend the day listening, learning from and engaging with THE Master and guru of working with Trauma ‘Dr Gabor Maté’ Oxford University, Oxford UK

A profound and enlightening experience, deep diving into and expanding my pre existing, trauma informed knowledge.

Through ‘Compassionate Inquiry’, Maté posits his therapeutic, antidotal approach to the themes of Trauma and its complex impacts; allowing for our skills and effectiveness as therapists and healthcare providers to be widened.

For patients and clients, this approach to psychotherapy facilitates the healing of painful wounds of such traumatic event/s through curious exploration.

The healing results include finding safety within one’s body and nervous system by learning to process what happened to oneself in childhood. Initiating the process of compassionate self-inquiry can lead to being able to express authenticity, uncovering one’s needs and turning around unhelpful, unconscious, limiting beliefs and afflictions; allowing for the expansion into possibility and freedom.
