At the moment I don’t charge for consultations, and most of the time that works absolutely fine. But being self-employed and running a busy clinic, no-shows are becoming increasingly frustrating.
It’s not just the time — it’s blocked appointments that someone else could have had.
I’m starting to wonder whether introducing a consultation fee (redeemable against treatment) might be the way forward. It feels fair, but I don’t want to put genuine clients off either.
How would youhandle this? Do you charge, take deposits, or keep it free?
