If your disabled child is in school in England they may have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan – a legal document outlining all the support a child needs in education.

The school admissions system for children with EHC plans is different; you do not go through the normal admissions system. Instead, part of the process of getting an EHC plan involves getting a β€˜named’ school. This means that you can express a preference for the school you want at the time you first get the EHC plan or when your child moves to a different phase of education.

To help navigate this process, we are holding a comments-based Facebook Q&A on Thursday 21 November, in our closed group.
