Local people who are partially sighted, blind, deaf or hard of hearing can get free support this Friday 9 January at Middlesbrough's Live Well Centre.

The sensory drop-in session includes professional advice, sensory equipment demonstrations, RNID hearing checks and a Tai Chi class.

The North East Regional Organised Crime Unit will also be attending to discuss scam and fraud protection.

All welcome between 10am - 12pm, no need to book.

Simple steps you can take to stop the spread of flu.

• Use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
• Dispose of the tissue in a bin – catch it, bin it, kill it!
• Wash your hands regularly!
• Clean and disinfect surfaces after use.
• Use soap and water and wash for at least 20 seconds.
