We had jasmine and our fabulous Party Boppers in doing some amazing twighlight sensory session today

🌙 Twilight Sensory Session ✨

residents are invited to unwind in a calm and soothing atmosphere. The room is softly lit with warm fairy lights and gentle projections of stars and twilight skies. Relaxing background music, nature sounds, and calming scents such as lavender fill the space, creating a peaceful environment.

Residents enjoyed:

🌌 Visuals: twinkling lights, glowing lanterns, and calming colour projections.

🎶 Sounds: soft music, and well known tunes, birdsongs

🌺 Scents: calming aromatherapy like lavender.

✋ Touch: twinkling fibre optic lights, and textured items for gentle exploration.

The session helps promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and social interaction.

“Ahoy there! September 19th is Talk Like a Pirate Day! We Joined in the fun, with our best pirate voices, and treasure-filled laughter, sea-worthy sayings, and a hearty ‘Arrr!’”,We even roped in regional manger Paul whom had val in stitches with his best pirate jokes and also our cook Danielle and carer linda got in on the action with the residents.

💙 Today, we attended the wonderful dementia-friendly community of Middlesbrough to celebrate achievements in raising awareness, understanding, and support for those living with dementia.we received a certificate my self (sam) and deputy sue for our training which the whole team took part in with Dementia Action Teesside .
Around 100 people joined from community groups, GP surgeries, hospital wards, churches, housing providers, and local businesses – all coming together to share, connect, and feel part of something bigger. A true community that wants to do more. 🌟

It was an inspiring morning filled with energy, connection, and hope. 💫
