We’re excited to share that our friends at Daisy Chain are hosting Daisy Fest – a fun-filled event celebrating community, creativity, and connection! 🎉

A fantastic opportunity to learn more about the incredible services they offer and the huge impact they make in our community💛

Expect a fun-filled day out for the whole family – with plenty for the kids to enjoy too! We can’t wait! 🎉

Exciting news… Daisy Fest is back this August Bank Holiday Monday, from 10am! 🌼

Expect fun for all the family, including:
👩‍🌾 tours of our farm,
🎶 live music & entertainment,
🌭 delicious food, drinks & snacks,
🎈 bouncy inflatables,
🛍️ Daisy Chain Megastore retail stalls,
🎉 kids activities & lots more!

Funds raised will go towards supporting the autistic and neurodivergent community, funding frontline services that are used by over 8,000 people annually. ❤️

🎟️ Tokens will be available to purchase on the day for each attraction, at £4 each (from 10am).

Hearing Café, hosted by Saltburn Hearing and Community Stepping Stones CIC, is a relaxed monthly meetup for anyone affected by hearing loss. It’s a chance to:

Meet others going through similar experiences
Chat, make friends, and enjoy games
Ask questions to a professional audiologist
Enjoy a cuppa and some friendly faces

🟣 World Continence Week 🟣
At Olam Care, we believe in supporting people with dignity, especially when it comes to health issues that are often hidden or misunderstood, like bladder problems.

🩺 1 in 5 people experience bladder issues—yet many stay silent due to stigma or embarrassment.
Continence challenges can affect anyone, regardless of age or gender, and can deeply impact quality of life.

As care professionals, we see how important it is to talk openly, offer support, and remove the shame around this topic. That’s why we’re proud to support World Continence Week and help raise awareness.

It’s Learning Disability Week! 💜

Last week, our Olam Care team visited South Bank Library for their Disability Awareness Week event — and it was a truly meaningful experience.

We were grateful to learn from the Cleveland Fire Brigade UK who shared vital advice on how carers can support people with disabilities during emergencies like fires. We also gained powerful insight into the experiences of soon-to-be mothers with disabilities and how we can better support them through pregnancy and beyond.

To top it off, we took part in a fun and inclusive light chair exercise session — a lovely reminder of how small, joyful moments can bring people together🪑✨

At Olam Care, we’re committed to helping every individual live with dignity, confidence, and independence. Together, we can break down barriers, challenge outdated perceptions, and build a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued💜

Viking Boat Race Challenge!🌊🚣‍♂️
Last weekend, the Olam Care team took on the Viking Boat Race at Tees Barrage, hosted by Daisy Chain, a charity supporting autistic and neurodivergent people and their families.

It was a brilliant morning of fun, teamwork, and fundraising for a fantastic cause.

Huge congrats to The Krakens for taking first place — and a big shoutout to our Olam Vikings, who proudly finished 4th! 🏆

Thanks to SNe Care Services Limited for challenging us — we loved being part of it and are already looking forward to next year. We’re also excited to visit Daisy Chain HQ soon to learn more about their amazing work💜
