She shared her inspiring story of moving from Zimbabwe to the UK, her journey into the care sector, and some of the incredible challenges she’s taken on, including the Trek26 mile walk and the Viking Boat Race! 🛶💪

Last week, during our fortnightly team meeting, we proudly announced the winners of our How Olam Are You? Quiz! 🏆

This fun and interactive quiz was designed to give our carers the chance to showcase their knowledge of Olam, as well as our policies and procedures. In return, they had the opportunity to win some amazing prizes including annual leave, a spa day voucher, and a surprise gift bag!

Big congratulations to our winners Habeeb, Yolanda and Victor!!🏅

Victor was out on a visit when we announced the winners, and in true Christmas-movie fashion, the Grinch tried to steal his prize bag.
But don’t worry we caught him red-handed and saved Victor’s goodies! 😂💜

It was such a fun session seeing everyone get involved, laugh, compete, and show just how knowledgeable and dedicated our carers are. You all smashed it!

The other day, our carers took part in PEG training with Jo from Nutricia! 👩‍⚕️
As we welcome clients with a wider range of needs, we’re committed to creating more opportunities for our team to grow and develop.
During the session, our carers were able to:
👉 Learn about different PEG feeding methods
👉 Refresh their knowledge on infection control
👉 And much more!
It was a fantastic experience, and the team is excited to put their new skills into action to better support our clients!

Today, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served.

We take this moment to reflect on the life and freedom we have thanks to the bravery and sacrifices of those who took part in service.

Many of our clients come from generations who served, long before it was a choice, and we feel privileged to hear their incredible stories through our work in care.

We are truly grateful today and every day for their courage, service, and resilience. 🌹

We’re so happy to announce that Yolanda, a care assistant from , has been named our Rising Star, in our Champion Awards! ✨

Yolanda’s dedication and passion for her work have made a real difference in the lives of the families she supports.

Upon receiving the award, she said:
