At Falck Fire Services UK, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the extraordinary dedication and inspiring charity work of our very own Chris Snaith, a Site Protection Officer based at Teesside UK! ✨
Chris recently laced up his running shoes and completed the Great North Run on 07 September 2025, raising vital funds for The Teesside Charity, with part of the proceeds specifically benefiting the James Cook Neonatal Unit at Chris's request💙💙💙
But that's not all! Just recently, on 12/13th of September 2025, Chris took on an epic challenge with a personal mission 💪 Two years ago, Chris and a friend set an unofficial record by climbing Roseberry Topping 30 times in 16 hours. This record was soon beaten by someone else who achieved 45 climbs.
Inspired by his son, Jacob, Chris was convinced to try to reclaim the title! 👑
In an incredible 30-hour effort, he completed the "Roseberry 50," achieving a staggering 8,844 meters of ascent.😱 This monumental challenge was an attempt to take back that record, all to raise even more for the chosen charity. What an effort!👏
Chris said, “The James Cook Neonatal Unit does incredible work, saving the precious lives of the most vulnerable every week. Every bit of support makes a huge difference.”
The James Cook Neonatal Unit provides round-the-clock care to little ones who have been born prematurely or who are extremely poorly. These families may be in the unit for just a few days, but some spend several weeks, even months, under their care. The James Cook Hospital Neonatal Charitable Fund helps us to provide treatment and care over and above what the NHS would routinely provide. People’s generous donations really do make a huge difference to both staff and families, funding everything from creating a tranquil and relaxing outdoor space where people can take a break from the busy ward to the latest medical or technical equipment.
Some of the things the fund has provided over the years include memory boxes and keepsakes for families of babies who have sadly passed away, as well as family rooms, cooling mats and other equipment. Funds also go towards improving our parents’ accommodation as well as for the further education of our staff.
Please join us in applauding Chris on his incredible efforts and if you would like to make a donation to the amazing cause, please visit Chris’ Just Giving Page at 👉 https://www.justgiving.com/page/chris-snaith-5?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL
