Would you like to support Parklands RDA and work with our amazing participants??
Do you love spending time with horses but can't afford your own?
Do you enjoy socialising and being part of a team?
We need volunteers to help support and run our charity offering horse riding and equine therapies to anyone with additional needs.
How can you help?
In so many ways...................
Helping with the horses/participants during our sessions
Helping in our social room on Saturdays/holiday events with games & activities
Helping care for the animals both during sessions and during their rest days
Helping co-ordinate volunteers.
We particularly need help Wednesday afternoons and for morning care of the horses.
Any help is always appreciated, we can offer all training and plenty of tea/biscuits.

These are such worrying times. The British Horse Society states over 250 riding schools have closed in the last 5years due to the rising costs. You can’t make cut backs with living animals.
We can help in ways that cost nothing.
Please share our posts, we love a like but a share spreads the word more.

We are also looking at other income streams hiring out our rooms etc. Did you also know I’m a chiropractor at ChiroMotion treating people and animas and also offering canine rehab. This income helps support parklands rda.

What an amazing first week back, everyone was just fab! Just before Christmas we started doing bandaging with some of our stage 4 HC participants and I was so happy with how well they did after just a few sessions!

Hi all. We have closed for Christmas as have 2 Christmas trees feeling lonely. If anyone is struggling this Christmas and hasn’t managed to afford a tree, or anyone knows of anywhere in need please feel free to come and collect tomorrow between 8am - 1pm. Just drop us a message on here or what’s 07809 456296. (Stand in photo not included). Please don’t just turn up as the gates will be closed, drop us a message and we’ll meet you. Well....what a fantastic Christmas party and awards. Every single participant achieved their awards and we handed out our first level 3 proficiency as well.

A huge well done to everyone this year we've loved every minute, and of course a thank you to our volunteers, as we couldn't manage without you and the parents/carers for their on going support.

We're starting back w/c 12th Jan. As always I didn't have a camera to hand so please feel free to share everyone's achievements below.

Well that's a wrap for our sessions for 2025 and what a year! We've managed to welcome new riders with casper back in action, started exciting non ridden sessions and all participants have improved so much - we've even got hooves leaving the ground with some riders starting to jump! A huge well done to all of our wonderful participants, you always make us smile. massive thank you to our volunteers as we couldn't do it without you....and of course to our elf Rosie and welcome to
Megan.

its Christmas party time Saturday where everyone will receive their awards and certificates.

The horses will get some training next week before enjoying a christmas break

Thursday was the the AGM for RDA National. Its nice to meet other groups and coaches and hear about the future plans for RDA. Now it's back to decorating the stables ready for next week 😀
