Taking risks is how humankind developed.

Teen brains are wired to try risky behaviours!

Your teen might be making risky decisions right now.

Don’t blame yourself, know it will end, pick them up on it when they are ready to listen.

It’s normal and healthy but highly frustrating we know!

It can be hard for us when they give up things WE think they shouldn’t…..

It’s normal and healthy however!

Peppa pig or Va**ng!

It’s likely in these years, your teen could be tempted by either at any point for no reason.

It’s normal!

Their brain is trying it’s hardest to grow and make adult risky decisions, but also the brain protects itself and reverts to childlike behaviours it knows are safe!

It’s a rollercoaster for us all!!

Teenagers love taking a risk.

The teenage brain is highly risk adverse.
(It’s how humanity developed!!)

Teens will take the risk of being told off, in school or out, if the reward is improved friendship status!

The risk of the telling off is far outweighed by the reward of entertaining mates!

Don’t be frustrated if they do things you’ve told them not to! Reinforce expectations absolutely, but remember we probably did the same as teens!
