It’s been a tough week for us — our old page was compromised and we’ve lost full access to it. After years of building it up, having to start again is a real blow, but we’re not stopping. We’ve created a brand‑new Facebook and Instagram, and we’d be hugely grateful for your support while we rebuild.

Positano. The village that tumbles into the sea. 🌊🏘️

There's something almost theatrical about Positano — the way the colourful houses stack up the cliffside, the fishing boats bobbing in the harbour, the scent of lemon and sea salt in the air. John Steinbeck wrote that Positano 'bites deep' — and he was right. It's one of those places that lodges itself in your memory and refuses to leave.

🍋 Insider tip: Positano is beautiful but expensive and very busy in summer. For a more authentic Amalfi Coast experience, stay in Praiano instead — a smaller village just 6km along the coast. It has the same dramatic scenery, a beautiful small beach, excellent restaurants, and a fraction of the crowds. Many people who discover Praiano say they'll never stay anywhere else on the Amalfi Coast again.

Blue domes. White walls. The Aegean stretching to the horizon. 💙🇬🇷

Oia is one of those places that earns its reputation. The iconic blue-domed churches, the winding cobblestone lanes, the bougainvillea tumbling over whitewashed walls — it's genuinely as beautiful as the photographs suggest. And somehow, even when it's busy, it manages to feel magical.

🏛️ Insider tip: The best time to visit Santorini is May or September. The weather is perfect, the sea is warm, and the island is significantly quieter than the peak July–August crush. Prices are lower, restaurants are easier to book, and you can actually walk through Oia without being shoulder-to-shoulder with other tourists. September is particularly special — the light is extraordinary and the harvest festivals are in full swing.

Central Park in autumn is one of New York's greatest gifts. 🍂🗽

843 acres of green space in the middle of one of the world's most intense cities. The contrast is extraordinary — the skyscrapers framing the treeline, the horse-drawn carriages, the joggers, the families, the chess players in the Ramble. Central Park is New York at its most human.

🍂 Insider tip: Most visitors see Central Park from the main paths. For something completely different, hire a bike and explore the northern end of the park — the Harlem Meer, the Conservatory Garden (one of the most beautiful formal gardens in America, and almost always quiet), and the Great Hill. You'll feel like you've discovered a completely different park.

One of the great joys of Bali is that extraordinary private villas are genuinely accessible — not just for the ultra-wealthy. A private pool villa in Ubud or Seminyak, with a personal chef, a driver, and a daily breakfast that arrives exactly when you want it, is within reach of most people who think it isn't. And once you've done it, you'll never go back to a hotel room.

🏡 Insider tip: The best Bali villas are not in the main tourist areas. Canggu has become extremely popular (and slightly overrun), but the villages around Ubud — Penestanan, Sayan, Kedewatan — offer the same lush jungle setting with a much more authentic, peaceful atmosphere.
