🐾 At Wren, your dog’s safety and wellbeing always come first 🐾

That’s why we require veterinary consent before starting any treatment, even for dogs coming in for fitness sessions. We promise we’re not being difficult—this step is simply to make sure your dog doesn’t have any underlying conditions or past surgeries we need to be aware of.

Here’s why it matters:

✔️ Accurate diagnosis & full history – Your vet understands your dog’s medical background, ensuring we’re working with the complete picture.

✔️ Safe, tailored care – Whether your dog is recovering from injury or simply building fitness, every programme is designed to be appropriate, effective, and safe.

✔️ Equipment suitability – Some rehabilitation equipment and therapies aren’t suitable for every dog or condition. Having a full patient history ensures we choose only what’s safe and beneficial.

✔️ Team approach – We work with your vet, not separately. Collaboration means better outcomes, whether your goal is recovery or improved fitness.

✔️ Protecting your dog – Some underlying conditions may not be obvious. Vet consent ensures we don’t risk aggravating an issue—even in otherwise healthy, active dogs.

✔️ Doing the right thing in an unregulated industry – Canine rehabilitation isn’t always tightly regulated, which makes it even more important to uphold the highest standards and always act in each patient’s best interest.

Our goal is simple: to help every dog move better, feel better, and stay at their best—safely, every step of the way.

🐾 Meet the gorgeous little Dollie! 🐾

Dollie is putting in the work during rehab after her bilateral patella surgery, her underwater treadmill sessions are all about building strength, confidence, and controlled movement 🐾💦

Hydrotherapy is such an important part of her recovery — helping support her joints while encouraging gentle muscle strengthening, better range of motion, and improved walking pattern without placing too much strain on her healing legs.

She’s taking each session in her stride, and while recovery is a gradual process, every step on the treadmill is a step in the right direction. So proud of how hard she’s working 💛

🐾 This wonderful old chap is Chewie. He’s a 13 year old Siberian husky who is coming to us for some laser treatment to help his cruciate ligament tear. Surgery isn’t always the ideal option, so we are managing his condition conservatively. Chewie is now weight bearing and coping well with his recovery 🐾

🌈🐾 Old friends will always be a part of our journey. Remembering the lovely Welly who enjoyed nothing more than a float in the pool. His legs may have been failing but his zest for life remained. We helped him get out and about and enjoy the time he had. Always loved and always remembered 🌈🐾
