My Wildish Nature

My Wildish Nature Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga classes for open-minded humans who are willing to show up for themselves. Hello my friend. I'm Siga. Thank you for being here.

Expect a mindful flow with a focus on alignment and breath. All levels are welcome and modifications are always encouraged. I've been thinking about what yoga means to me and I keep coming back to describing it as an opportunity to reconnect with my body. It quietens my mind so I can hear the subtle whispers of the physical body. It's a dance. An exploration. It's a commitment to show up for myself. I won't tell you what your yoga practice should look like. I also can't give you any promises that it will transform your life. But if you are curious, I invite you to come along so that you can explore your own edges and inner waves through the physical body. You may even befriend yourself a little bit more. I hold space each Monday from 6-7PM at St John's Community Centre in Mildenhall.

My story

Hello, I’m Siga. Lithuanian by birth, wild by nature. Like many, I have my very own yoga story. It started in my early twenties when I was suffering from depression and was looking for alternative ways to heal. I will be forever grateful to have stumbled upon a teacher whose focus was mind and breath. That weekly yoga class (I called it ‘magic Tuesday’) changed my life. It probably saved it too.

Having an active lifestyle meant that for years I leant towards strong vinyasa practices. It took another burnout in a corporate world for me to realise that what my body truly needed was balance. Much as I resisted, slow Yin and Restorative classes introduced stillness to both my mental and physical health.

Inspired by the heart-centred Anusara approach and the benefits of Yin, I teach a mindful yet strong flow. I’ll encourage you to find strength in stillness and grace in movement. As a keen cyclist and an occasional runner I also focus a lot on strengthening the body be it to balance out physical activity or lack of it, i.e. the office chair. Expect steady holds and mindfully cued transitions. Ultimately, my aim is to provide a safe space for you to explore your body and mind, and tune into your own breath. Come to feel.
