As we wrap up our Valentine’s weekend of appreciation, we couldn’t finish without celebrating the spaces that help us do what we do best ✨

Dayanara, one of our Occupational Therapists, shared:

“There is so much to love about the new clinic, including the private pods, the observation rooms and the large kitchen for preparing food for feeding sessions. I am particularly excited about the sensory area and motor gym.”

Every part of this space has been carefully considered; from therapy rooms to sensory-friendly lighting, wall wording to layout flow. And now, as the last little touches go up, it’s starting to feel truly ours 💛

This isn’t just a building — it’s a space built around care, connection and creativity.

If the snow has brought excitement (and a bit of chaos!) to your morning, you’re not alone. But it’s also a brilliant chance to boost your child’s language skills through simple play and real-life experiences...

Here are a few snowy ways to grow speech at home or outside:

☃️ Talk while you build – “Roll the snow,” “Big ball,” “Let’s make a nose!”
🧊 Explore texture – “Cold!” “Wet!” “Soft?” “Hard?” “It’s melting!”
🎯 Practice action words – “Throw,” “Catch,” “Push,” “Slide”

🧠 Big feelings, changing seasons, new experiences…

For children, change can be confusing — even when it seems small to us.

🌧️ Rainy days = the perfect chance to grow little voices indoors!

Wet weather may be coming, but there’s plenty of communication magic to be found inside 🧠💬

Here are a few simple, speech-boosting activities for a rainy day at home:

☔ Window watching – “Drip drop!” “Big splash!” “It’s windy!”
📦 Build a rainy day den – narrate as you build: “Blanket on top,” “Push the chair,” “Hide inside!”
🎨 Puddle-themed art – paint splats or raindrops and talk about colours, sizes, and actions
🧸 Pretend play – get out dolls or animals and act out getting caught in the rain (“Quick! Run!” “Let’s get dry.”)

Talking during play helps your child:
🧠 Learn new words
🗣️ Understand action and emotion words
❤️ Build confidence in their voice
