Grounding is something I come back to as much as possible and try to bring it in to my daily routine

Sometimes this looks like hanging out the laundry in bare feet. Other times I will make it a necessity by standing in the grass or beach sand from anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Even sunbathing has my feet planted in the grass, off the towel or with my hands in the grass supporting my body.

Grounding (or earthing) helps to:

* reduce oxidative stress
* lowers inflammation
* helps improve sleep
* reduces pain
* improves blood pressure
* reduces anxiety
* alleviates fatigue
* improves mood
And brings you back to Mother Nature

Pretty good reasons don’t you think?

I also use my essential oils, mainly tree ones such as putting a few drops of Balance on the soles of my feet or inhaling from my hands. I like to inhale or pop the following essential oils in the diffuser:

* Shinrin Yoku - the forest bathing blend
* vetiver which is very grounding
* patchouli
* arborvitae
* Hinoki
* black spruce
* Niaouli
Or a mix of tree blends

Essential oils are an amazing way to support your well-being and ideal as an alternative if, for whatever reason, you cannot get your feet out in the ground.

The past is the past

Keep it there but also, what can you learn from it?

Do you have any repeating patterns?

This may be where you need to start - what emotions come up or what keeps repeating itself? Identify, can it be related to childhood and if so, investigate gently and hold space fpr your inner child.

Reframe the knowledge in a positive way instead of staying in victim mentality.

How are you feeling today?

When was the last time you really checked in to your body?

How about giving yourself 5-10 minutes to sit quietly and scan your body…. Check in with each of your toes and feel if there are any aches or pains, next your feet, top and bottom and then check every other part, scanning all the way to the top of your head.

Try not to move on to the next part until you can actually β€˜feel’ your blood pumping in to that particular area.

Where it feels like there is a little pain, breathe deeply into that area with loving kindness.

No need to read too much in to it but if you wish to add to your healing touch, hold that area whilst breathing and send it love and a wish for it to be better x
