They have been selected as a team to participate in the Special Olympics International Flag Rugby Tournament in Paris in May.
They're not just presenting Pembrokeshire but also Wales and Great Brittain on a large International stage of 26 different teams💪🙌 .

Any kind donation, small or large, will greatly be appreciated to support this team in having a unique and memorable experience and a boost for them to continue to grow in their developments as Athletes.

We are absolutely delighted to share this incredible news - the Pembrokeshire Vikings have been officially selected to compete at the Special Olympics International Flag Rugby Tournament in Paris this May! 🇫🇷🏆

Taking place in Le Plessis-Robinson from 28th-31st May 2026, the Vikings will join 26 teams from across the world in a brilliant celebration of inclusive sport - representing not just Pembrokeshire, but Wales and Great Britain on an international stage. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The club are working hard to ensure no player misses out due to financial circumstances - and they're already receiving fantastic backing from local businesses including Stix Noodle Bar, Solwr Wales and PhysioFit West Wales. 🙌

Now they need more of the Pembrokeshire business community to get behind them! Sponsorship opportunities are available at a range of levels, including kit sponsorship with long-term branding exposure well beyond Paris.

Every bit of support - financial, in-kind or simply spreading the word - makes a real and lasting difference to these incredible athletes. 💪

From today, 11 December 2025, we're asking that all visitors and staff in clinical and patient-facing areas wear a face mask to help limit the spread of respiratory viruses.

The number of cases of respiratory viruses within hospitals, and our broader community, is increasing at a steady rate. All staff, regardless of their role, will be required to wear a surgical mask (unless other personal protective equipment (PPE) has been advised) when in clinical areas or interacting with patients.

Visitors will also be required to wear a mask in clinical areas, including to appointments on hospital and community sites.

Signposted over the years (and often successfully) many of our patients to apply but we’re still surprised how many people are not aware or informed about this financial support to remain well and independent.
Please share to those who might want or need to know more about it or contact the local Citizens Advice office or your County Council for assistance or guidance. Some localcharities, Age UK or some NHS community services can also assist if needed.
