🌊 Introducing “You, Me and the Sea” 🌊

For 2026, Blue Horizons is incredibly proud to launch our NEW Adaptive Surfing project.

This collaborative community project has been made possible thanks to the amazing support of Port of Milford Haven , Pembrokeshire County Council , Postcode Lottery UK , The National Lottery Community Fund , Wales and Round House

Together, we are helping Pembrokeshire residents aged 8–100+, with additional needs due to disability, illness, injury or learning difficulties experience the freedom, wellbeing and connection of the ocean through supported adaptive surf sessions.

Using specially adapted surfboards, beach access equipment and adaptive qualified instructors, sessions are designed around each individual person - creating a calm, fun, supportive and inclusive environment where people can access the coastline in a way that works for them.

💙 Sessions are available for a suggested £10 donation to book. However, we never want cost to be a barrier to accessing the sea, so if this would be difficult for you, please get in touch confidentially as we are able to waive the donation to help make sessions accessible for everyone.

Gan ddefnyddio byrddau syrffio wedi’u haddasu’n arbennig, offer mynediad at y traeth a hyfforddwyr cymwys addasol, mae sesiynau wedi’u cynllunio o amgylch pob unigolyn - gan greu amgylchedd tawel, hwyliog, cefnogol a chynhwysol lle gall pobl gael mynediad at yr arfordir mewn ffordd sy’n gweithio iddyn nhw.

Such a wonderful service. As I meet with my clients in their own homes and in residential, the biggest threat to their happiness that they live with day in day out, is loneliness; not having enough stimulation, social interaction and interesting things to do, especially when mobility becomes an issue or sensory impairments. Just a friendly face makes all the difference. Residential homes are often 2 staff to 13 residents; often the residents end up sitting on their own for the majority of the day in their own thoughts. Wishing there was more support like this out there for all to enjoy. Growing old doesn’t have to be unfulfilling. 💚💚💚

I’m so pleased to finally share this…

I have recently secured funding which means I can offer a limited number of completely free 1–1 Montessori sessions each month for individuals living with dementia in Pembrokeshire.

There is no cost to families for these sessions.

They are designed to gently support independence, dignity and meaningful engagement — focusing on ability, purpose and connection in the comfort of your own home.

Each month, a small number of sessions will be released, and once they are allocated, they are gone.

If you have a loved one who would benefit from calm, structured 1–1 support, please message me directly for more information.

Beautiful day yesterday out and about with a client - cat cuddles and lamb sitting. What more could I ask for? Just sitting quietly listening to the animals munching around me. Peaceful indeed and my client enjoyed his hack out.

Morning commute after leaving my client’s gate after a waking night!!!
The other day I was herding a couple out of the garden after they’d got a taste of the camellia buds. Very determined sheep. Xx
