It's not every day that BCM NI can say they have opened a new shop, but here we are!

Taking inspiration from our sister home Kirk House , Copelands has recently opened its own general store, and with a name that holds special significant to the wider organisation. 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒓'𝒔 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆

Residents marked the opening of the store alongside former members of the Grosvenor Hall congregation, which ceased meeting in 2025. The congregation had donated all of the products for our shop which will directly benefit our residents.

This new service will provide them with easy access to toiletries when they run out, meaning they do not have to rely on family and friends to bring items in for them. This is designed to offer greater choice and independence for our residents, with proceeds being used to stock our shelves.

To say thank you, we invited the congregation to Copelands for a 3-course lunch and to officially open the shop. It will open to residents one day a week starting at the end of February.

This special recognition honours staff members who consistently go "above and beyond" in their daily work – celebrating ordinary people who make an extraordinary difference in the lives of clients. We are so proud to have Paul as part of our kitchen team at Copelands. Congratulations, Paul! 💛

This week is Will to Give week and we want to thank those of you and your families who have in the past or will someday support BCM services through legacy giving.

Like our service users, we don't know what's down the road for us, but we can make well informed decisions now that help people in need no matter what happens in the future.

Legacy giving makes a massive impact on our charitable services at BCM- if you want to know more about leaving a gift in your will, we would love to chat.

The BCM NI Summer Appeal closes this week- there is still time to support this amazing cause for our younger people.

𝐁𝐂𝐌 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤

We have had an amazing response to our Summer Appeal for our services for Young People, raising £16,000 to offer direct help.

From counselling, to daytime activities in homes, to helping individuals with emergency costs, this important money will make a big difference in the lives of our service users over the next year.

If it has been on your to do list, you still have time to donate digitally. The portal will close on Friday 22 August at 4pm so please do consider joining us in this response to need.

We would like to send out a huge thanks to everyone who supported our family fun day. We have been overwhelmed with the support from relatives, the local community and our staff.

We are delighted to announce that we raised £𝟏𝟐𝟎𝟎 which will help with the development of a general store for our residents and boost their activities fund. There has been such amazing feedback from our fun day, we hope to hold another one next year!

Local printmaker Sarah Majury brought her letterpress printer to show us how it works. Our residents loved talking about old-style printmaking and having a go at creating their own prints.
