We’re excited to introduce our new Activity Coordinator, Rebecca 🥰

Rebecca joins us with valuable experience from working in domiciliary care and in a nursery, bringing a warm, creative, and caring approach to everything she does.

She already has some fantastic ideas and plenty of new activities planned for our residents, helping to make each day engaging and enjoyable. Rebecca is also spending time working 1-to-1 with some of our residents, ensuring everyone feels included, supported, and valued.

We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of our team – our new Home Manager, Rose.

Rose brings a wealth of experience to our home, having worked in the care sector since the age of 18. Her journey has seen her gain valuable knowledge and skills across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, domiciliary care, nursing, learning disabilities, assisted living and management.

Her passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care shines through in everything she does, and we are excited to have her leading our team.

Happy National Tea Day! ☕️✨

Our residents had a wonderfully creative and relaxing day celebrating all things tea. This morning, some residents enjoyed designing their very own mugs, using a variety of paints to create some truly unique and colourful masterpieces 🎨

In the afternoon, it was time for a tea-tasting experience! Residents sampled a selection of flavours including blackcurrant, peppermint, strawberry and cucumber, lemon, and even a traditional Turkish black tea. The clear favourite of the day was the delicious blackcurrant tea — definitely a hit with everyone! 🍇

Of course, no tea day would be complete without a few tasty biscuits, which were thoroughly enjoyed alongside the warm cuppas 🍪

A lovely day filled with creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles 💛

Today we made the most of the beautiful sunshine with a lovely gardening activity 🌸☀️

Our residents enjoyed taking turns choosing their own flowers and planting them, adding lots of colour and life to our outdoor space. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, sharing smiles, and taking pride in their work.

To top it all off, we cooled down afterwards with some refreshing ice lollies – the perfect treat on a sunny day! 🍦

We also have something exciting coming to the garden soon 🪴… watch this space- We can’t wait to show you!

A simple but joyful day, filled with fresh air, laughter, and a sense of togetherness 💛

We were delighted to welcome back the wonderful Phoenix Singers into our home yesterday! 🎶

They treated our residents to a fantastic variety of songs, creating such a warm and lively atmosphere throughout. There was plenty of singing along, with residents joining in using musical instruments, clapping, and even enjoying a bit of dancing! 💃🕺

It was truly a joyful afternoon filled with music, laughter, and great company. Thank you to the Phoenix Singers for bringing so much happiness to everyone here—we can’t wait to have you back again! ❤️

🌼🌱 Happy International Gardening Day! 🌱🌼

Today our residents had a wonderful time getting their hands involved in planting a variety of beautiful flowers. Although the weather wasn’t on our side for outdoor planting, that didn’t stop the smiles, laughter, and creativity indoors! 🌸

Gardening is such a meaningful activity, offering so many benefits for our residents. Planting flowers helps promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall mood. It also encourages gentle physical activity, supports fine motor skills, and provides a great opportunity for social interaction and teamwork. Most importantly, it gives everyone a sense of achievement and purpose as they nurture something and watch it grow. 🌷

A lovely day enjoyed by all, whatever the weather! 💚

We are delighted to announce that our March Employee of the Month is Emily Gibson! 👏

Emily has been with us for just over two years, working as a dedicated Healthcare Assistant. During this time, she has grown tremendously in her role, gaining confidence, skills, and experience that truly shine through in her day-to-day work.

She is known for being a lovely, friendly, and hands-on carer who always goes the extra mile to support both residents and colleagues. Her warm nature and genuine compassion make a real difference to everyone around her.

We had such a fantastic afternoon enjoying some fun ball games together! 🎉

The Residents took part in a friendly challenge where the goal was simple—throw the ball into the bucket and see how many they could score! 🪣⚽ There was plenty of laughter, encouragement, and just a little bit of competitive spirit as everyone tried to beat each other’s scores.

Activities like this are not only great fun, but they also bring so many benefits. They help improve hand-eye coordination, support gentle physical movement, and encourage focus and concentration. Most importantly, they create opportunities for social interaction, teamwork, and building confidence in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

A wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, cheering, and great company—well done to everyone who took part! 👏

🌼🐣 Celebrating Easter & Vishu Together 🐣🌼

We’ve had a truly wonderful time here at our care home celebrating both Easter and Vishu, embracing the joy and richness of different cultures together.

A very special thank you to some of our amazing staff members — Ligi, Jincy, Sukanya and Anjaly — who, along with their children, made the day so memorable. They treated our residents to beautiful dances, lovely songs, and shared the story and traditions of Vishu, bringing colour, music and learning into our home.

Vishu is a traditional festival celebrated in the Indian state of Kerala, marking the beginning of the Malayalam New Year. It symbolises new beginnings, prosperity, and hope, and is often celebrated with special foods, decorations, and family gatherings.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed watching the performances and were delighted to try the delicious snacks kindly prepared by the families. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to experience something new and celebrate together.

At our home, we are proud to embrace and celebrate all cultures, creating a warm, inclusive environment where everyone’s traditions are valued and shared.

Thank you again to everyone who made this day so special 💛
