Natural because your frown lines deserve respect (and a little science)
Think “natural Toxin” means freezing your face into a serene wax sculpture? Not on my watch. Natural-looking neuromodulation is about softening movement, not erasing expression it’s like turning down the volume on your frown, not ripping out the speakers.
How I assess & treat
1. Pre-consult + medical screen
- Check history: neuromuscular disease, recent facial surgery, prior toxin type/date, pregnancy/breastfeeding, infections.
- Review meds/supps (anticoagulants, aminoglycosides, muscle relaxants), allergies, past reactions.
- Clarify what “natural” means to the patient.
2. Dynamic facial assessment
- Inspect resting anatomy: asymmetry, skin quality, volume, ptosis, brow position.
- Observe expressions: forehead, glabella, lateral orbit, mentalis, “bunny” lines, platysma.
- Ask patient to smile, frown, raise brows, close eyes to reveal compensations.
- Take standardized photos (front + lateral, rest + animation).
3. Treatment planning for natural results
- Start conservatively; plan review at 2–4 weeks for touch-up.
- Use micro-dosing and strategic placements to soften movement but preserve expression.
- Tailor sites (e.g., higher forehead vs lateral-only) and consider fillers/skin treatments for static lines or volume loss.
4. Consent, risks & expectations
- Explain onset (2–14 days), peak (2–6 weeks), typical duration (3–6 months).
- Cover risks: bruising, transient ptosis, asymmetry, headache, dry eyes, neck-swallowing issues.
- Document consent, photos, and the agreed “natural” goal.
5. Follow-up & maintenance
- 2-week review for symmetry/top-up.
- 3-month review to plan maintenance dosing.
- Give post-care instructions and red flags for complications.
Natural = art + anatomy + humility. If you want a softened, refreshed face that still smiles like a human, start low, watch how the face moves, and listen to your patient then tweak. That’s how we keep expressions real and results impressive.
