From May 15th–17th, the Sun aligns with the fixed star Algol while on May 16th we also move through a deeply charged Ta**us New Moon directly beneath its gaze.
This is not soft energy.
This is ancient feminine power rising through the field.
Algol has long been labelled the most notorious star in our night sky. Ancient astrologers called it “The Blinking Eye of the Demon” because it appears to vanish and reappear in the sky every few days due to its eclipsing binary star motion. This strange disappearing act caused fear and gave Algol a sinister reputation linked to suffering, tragedy, chaos, death, intoxication, obsession, and destruction.
But the deeper truth of Algol was never evil.
It was power the world feared.
Algol sits at 26° Ta**us and is deeply connected to the myth of Medusa, not simply the monster history reduced her to, but the Oracle Priestess, the sacred feminine force, the woman whose power became too threatening to control.
Medusa was not born a monster.
She began as an Oracle Goddess before being transformed into a gorgon by Athena after suffering violation and betrayal. Her hair became snakes, symbols of psychic sight, rebirth, intuition, healing, death, and transformation. Perseus later decapitated her and her severed head became one of the most powerful protective weapons in mythology.
Even after tragedy…
she remained powerful.

she remained feared.

she became immortal.
