This month, those living with us were fully entertained with our Stars In Their Eyes afternoon. Staff dressed up as hit stars, creating a live performance for iconic artists such as ABBA, Nancy Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and a more recent sensation - Britney Spears.

The music and applause from the audience was echoing through the lounge. It was such a fun afternoon for everyone involved!

We had a lovely sensory activity to celebrate National Tea Day in our home.

We had a wide variety of different teabags to try. Those living with us rated the teabags on their scent, the visual look of them, the taste of them and the overall appeal of the teabag. After each teabag was rated, those who participated were told what the health benefits of each one were and it's safe to say that they were quite pleasantly surprised with how many benefits came along in one little bag.

To celebrate St George's Day, and to shed light on the history of why we celebrate him, the lifestyle team put on a performance of George and the Dragon. We dressed up and decorated the lounge with many England flags. We had traditional music playing in the background as everyone made their entrance.

After the play, that entertained all of those living with us, we did a quiz that surrounded England.

We had a wonderful day out at Castle Ashby this week, engaging the senses with the colourful, well maintained gardens and a lively animal menagerie. We then stopped for a delightful lunch outside to soak in more of the lovely weather.

Those living with us celebrated Ladies Day by participating in a fun horse racing betting game. We watched previous races and put down our predictions of which horse would win, and won many sweet prizes in the process.

We all got into the fabulous spirit of Ladies Day by wearing our pretty hats, and everyone found the horse names quite amusing! 👒🐴🏇🏼

This April, we welcome Fiona Harrison - a voice in a million - to our home. She filled the entire lounge with smiles, and dance moves, as her beautiful voice echoed throughout. She gave us hit musical classics, from Marry Poppins to Judy Garland. Fiona also sang some Easter themed songs, which got everyone singing along. Her high energy and twirls around the lounge had those living with us beaming with joy! 🎶

Those living with us enjoyed letting their creative side shine during our hat decorating activity. We took all our ribbon, stickers, gems, coloured card and giggles to the garden as the weather was so lovely. Everyone's hats looked so unique - some minimalistic and some flamboyant. Our group also enjoyed some tasty ice cream over a chat👒🌞

Those living with us took in the beautiful sunshine on our afternoon More...Fresh Air walk. Everyone was admiring the lovely nature and scenery. All the spring flowers blooming, and little birdies tweeting.

We also had another group sat in the garden, working together to complete a crossword. Everyone was reminiscing and telling stories with one another while soaking in vitamin D. 🌼☀️

This Easter was filled with creative paintings and big smiles. Those living with us enjoyed our bunny painting activity and seeing the Easter bunny come to Kents Hill.

Everyone enjoyed tucking into their goodie bags and a big thank you to the kitchen staff for their delicious Easter weekend menu. 🐰
