Strength

It would have been so appropriate to draw the Fool today, right? 😉
But maybe Strength is just what we need today.
Symbolising the point where our wilder and instinct driven side meets our calmer, more rational, civilised brain.
While there is a lot of strength to be found in our instincts, emotions and drives, but when they run away with us and become over the top knee jerk reactions they cause more harm than good.

As the sun sign of Leo (that’s me!) is connected to this card, I can tell you it’s very much about keeping your ego in check. If others criticise you that isn’t the end of the world or worse… someone makes a joke at your expense (gasp!)
Don’t roar immediately, laugh it off, they will look silly not you.

Or if you have fallen for an April Fools joke, that’s definitely the spirit of today, not a criticism on your rational abilities.
Not everything needs drama, is what I’m saying.
Try to keep that inner lion from roaring today.
Measured and calm responses get you a lot further.

I often see this card in readings for people who have a solid home base, they were built on strong foundations so to speak. People in their family (related or not) have their backs, so they can feel safe and relax in the knowledge that everything is okay.

In a more practical, daily energy vibe, just allow yourself some good times with your people, celebrate yourself and your tribe. Have some fun together or if you are at work, stick with the people you really get on with and love working with. Maybe have a drink together?

The frustration here is aimed at something or usually someone.
Things could get heated today and it could even come to a separation of some sort.

When this card appears it is not unusual for painful things to be said, words that are designed to cut the opposition, often out of reaction or indeed frustration. The often quoted knees jerk reaction is a part of this for sure.
But letting frustrations out on others can only cause harm and that’s likely when this one appears.

After the event, ask yourself what you need to do next. Do you want to mend what’s broken? Does it need time? Or is it better that it all ended now and going separate ways is probably a good idea?
Did you or the other party go too far in the heat of the moment?
Think about it. Do you want to mend this or is it not worth your time?

Oh dear, this card is rarely a welcome sight in a reading. It signals an ending and usually a painful one at that.
This ending is not something you wanted, but something that was forced on you without your doing. Remember that! This wasn’t your doing!

Sometimes this can even signal someone backstabbing you and getting away with it.
People play politics all the time, jealousy, incompetence, nastiness are all things we deal with when dealing with people generally, so you might be falling victim to such behaviour here.

But really it is the unexpectedness of this change of opinion and direction that is usually what hurts us most. It felt like life was going the right way and suddenly it’s all over.
And there lies the silver lining. It’s over… after this it’s not getting any worse.
Deal with the emotional fallout and then move on.
Easier said than done, I know, but that IS the way forward from here.
