💥 From Burnout to Being ME 💥
I remember the exact moment everything changed.
I was standing in a Board meeting, delivering my People Plan for the year ahead.
On paper, I was killing it: Head of HR, senior leader, respected, strong.
Inside, I was running on fumes — pushing, proving, pretending I was fine.
Then the menopause hit. Hard.
Brain fog rolled in like a thick fu***ng cloud and, mid-presentation, I just… blanked.
My slides were on the screen.
My mind? Empty.
A room full of men staring at me, unimpressed.
And I cried.
Right there in the Boardroom.
Then I ran out.
That was rock bottom.
I’d been living completely in my masculine energy, thinking that’s what I had to do to succeed in a male-dominated, toxic environment.
I thought I was fierce and powerful — but really, I was disconnected, exhausted, and living miles away from my values.
My laptop had basically become an extra limb, and wine was my daily reward for surviving another day.
I genuinely thought burnout was just part of leadership.
But it’s not.
After that day, I took a step back and got a coach.
And holy hell, it changed everything.
I realised I’d never truly felt aligned to the day-to-day grind of HR — I loved people, not politics.
So, I retrained as a Coach.
And when I started helping other women transform their lives, something inside me lit the f**k up.
Now?
I’m happy. I’m colourful.
And I am totally, unapologetically, confidently ME. 💃
