Let us talk about Vitamin D.

This time of year, everyone in the UK should start taking a Vit D supplement of 400 I.u. or 10 microgram Vit D daily.

During the Spring and summer, Vit D is usually made in our skin from the UVB in sunlight 🌞. Unfortunately there is no UVB in the winter ❄️!

Lack of Vitamin D can cause Vitamin D deficiency.

Symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency are: tiredness, bone pain, low mood/depression, hair loss, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, getting sick easily.

So as you can see, that Vit D is very important!

We can find Vit D in a small number of foods including oily fish such as mackerel and herring, liver, egg yolk and red meat 🥚
